Royal Rumble 2017 Sweepstake

It’s that time again for the annual Royal Rumble Sweepstake.

The rules are simple, £2 will buy you two numbers in the 2017 Royal Rumble which is held on 29th January.

The number will then relate to the wrestlers chosen number to enter the Rumble. If your numbered wrestler wins the Rumble, then you win all of the money!

Let me know if you’re interested below and then I’ll get the PMs sent out with where to send the money.

I think if you put an "of" in you also have to pluralise "hundred people" somehow, as there's more than one of them. Hundreds.

No, there's just one hundred. One is the amount and hundred is the unit of choice.

I've heard 'a couple of hundreds of people' used, which you could argue against in the contexts of 'hundreds' not being properly defined (in that it can be a couple of 3 hundredsworth of people, so six hundred people...) but I think that would only be an argument mounted by someone being even more awkward than pedantic..

I've also heard 'a couple of a hundred of people' used, or maybe 'a couple of a hundred people'. Can't remember.

I'd probably say 'two hundred people'.
