SUDDEN BURST OF COTTAGE RELATED EXCITEMENT.

Could be because a) I've had a glass of wine and b) I've officially sorted childcare. :DD

You can tell it's close because I'm getting the theme tune to Jurassic Park come into my head at random intervals throughout the day.

Due to my boss being a git, he's decided today to fire the guy in Singapore early (for some very important reason he can't tell me), so I'm going to need to go out for a week to see the team i'll be taking over, flying out on, you guessed, cottage weekend.

:((((((

Gutted. :(

Nooooo :( What a rubbishy thing to happen, especially as it’s likely to be the last time in a long while you’ll see folks because of your move out there :(

I was already planning on getting another job after the Singapore stint but my boss's shit handling of literally everything has made that a definite. If he was going to be sacking the guy this early we could have moved out in September and it would have been easier to get school places. As it stands we're 50/50 as to whether the kids will get places for January - if they don't then ill have to move out on my own in December and then we just have to fucking hope they get spaces in April and they all move out then

Not the joyous experience I was promised

That's a shame Chris. Go to the stationer's, pick up some sticky dots, and cover your family with them so you can all claim to have some hideous disease and mustn't leave the country.

You could but would that be more faff than just bringing the Retropi? You never know, would we want to play any other games on there? I'm thinking of bringing my SNES mini but then again, would all the games on it be on the Retropi anyway?

I'm bringing my Switch but I take that everywhere to be fair.

SNES Mini games (and if I have them or not):
Super Mario World (yes)
Super Mario Kart (yes)
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the past (yes)
F-Zero (yes)
Super Metroid (yes)
Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting (yes)
Super Punch-Out!! (yes)
Super Castlevania IV (yes)
Donkey Kong Country (yes, plus 2 and 3)
Mega Man X (yep, and the sequels)
Kirby Super Star (yes, the US version)
Final Fantasy III (yep)
Kirby's Dream Course (yep)
Star Fox (yep and Starwing, obv)
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (yep)
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (yep, in japanese)
Contra III The Alien Wars (yo)
Secret of Mana (ah yup)
EarthBound (yiss)
Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts (yep)
Star Fox 2 (which was, until now, unreleased) (Got, but only the "hacked version")

So, yeah... we're covered.

Colt Express
Possibly a couple more party games (Telefestrations; Say Anything) depending on mood.

That would be pretty cool, but I'm flying out on the Cottage Saturday night - should be in SG on Sunday afternoon.
