<24.99> JAMMA pass-through adaptor (to give me six button with my Pandora's Box 3 instead of five)

Next on the list is an MVS->JAMMA adaptor if I can find one for a decent price that isn't already broken.

I think I have more things to add to this but I haven't been keeping up with my spreadsheet recently. I'll see about updating it soon.

Wireless wouldn't be enough to make me upgrade and having bought a Pro that'll hopefully future proof me for a bit.

I'd be all over wireless, I think.

When you come to MeatUp I'd be interested to see what you think of non-Pro VR - I have no current urge to upgrade, but if there's a big jump I might be tempted.

Conceptually, yeah; but the wire doesn't annoy me nearly enough to spend yet another few hundred quid after all the money I've spent this year already.

Well, technically I have had some experience of it as I spent a good few hours VRing on my OG PS4 before the upgrade. It's almost impossible to say for sure what the difference is unless you had the same game running side by side on the two different consoles. I've theorised that the Pro has possibly helped me with nausea stuff but I don't know for sure, it's also possible that I just developed my 'VR legs' after spending a decent amount of time with the tech in general.

I was browsing Ebay this morning and it was just there. :) The seller messaged me after and seems genuine, so we'll see what state the games are actually in when they arrive.

Of course if they're in good nick, I might have to buy a PS4 next :D

A lot of the others are 'cheap' but Horizon should have been at least £20 itself

Hmph. More like they've realised they've underpriced it. Same thing happened with some NES games earlier in the week. They just refunded the payment without explanation

I pretty much only buy things on Ebay through PayPal. That way, if they don't send the item, Ebay covers the cost and automatically refunds you.

You can still get postal orders - I had one of my website customers pay through one the other week. And I'm waiting for a cheque from another one. And a third sent me a banker's draft from Ireland. Retro payment methods for retro games. :)

With my gaming backlog cleared I reckon I'd easily get my money's worth from that between the free games and discount so I'm currently hoping someone from my team at work will buy it for me (in exchange for the cash obviously). I'm not buying an Amazon Prime membership just for this as it would negate the discount.

ETA: Success!

I'd say that's a good price and also, a good stick! I have one which I think I bought off Hearthly? I use it on my PC for emulators although, I'm thinking of getting a Wii to USB dongle thingy so that I can use my Wii Snes pad on my PC. I like that pad a lot.

<14.99> Fire Pro Wrestling Word (Steam).

I always wanted to get into the Fire Pro Wrestling games, but the best ones always seemed to be Japanese-only.

Considering the game's only been out a couple of days, it would seem the Steam workshop already has a shedload of custom content -

Is this the first time you've seen a Firepro game? This looks just like all the other versions which admittedly, aren't the best lookers. The nuance is in the game play which is brilliant. It's all about timing and tactics.

I think I shall have to get this!

I think you'll love it. My problem with the games in the past is that I've never really known how to play them properly, but I've just gone through the tutorial missions and I'm away. Downloaded a few of the custom-made wrestlers from Steam and just had a match with me as the Ultimate Warrior against Big Daddy.

I wasn't talking about the graphics (remember I still cheerfully fire MAME up on a regular basis to play 30+ year old arcade games :D), but that looks like The Main Event (Konami arcade wrestling game) or something to me.

It's not dissimilar to The Main Event or Wrestlefest etc., but it's basically those games with lots of extra gameplay and customisation. I think the fact that they're more about timing than mashing buttons.
