Some unfortunate hand positioning from Brucie was noticeable on an old episode of 'Play your cards right' we watched on the understated television one hungover Sunday at Cottage.

Also, one of that rare breed of TV stars from that era who wasn't retrospectively found out to have been a massive paedo, which is nice.

There's no suggestion that I'm aware of that he had ever done anything wrong, but that's tempting fate a bit.

Well the the sad departure of Bruce Forsyth that has added more red ink than has ever been needed before.

Trooper, MaliA, nikachu, TheVision and Kern are now off the blocks with one point apiece, and myself, asfish and MrChris are storming away with two non-perpetrated deaths each.

You are doing yourself short!

You have Glenn Campbell he died August 8th so that gives you 3

Bobby Heenan was an absolute genius. He played his role perfectly and judging by the responses on Twitter, I'm glad he's being remembered in such a manner.

His comic timing was impeccable and his work with Gorilla Monsoon was legendary. I do think that wrestling in the 80's and 90's wouldn't have been half as good without him.

No love for Walter Becker a few weeks ago. Co-founder of Steely Dan. Trust me on this one, you might not like them on first listen, but there’s proper genius in them.

A friend of mine was a big fan of Steely Dan and loaned me a couple of LPs, Aja and another that I can't now remember, but then this WAS in the 70s. I tried but I didn't get hooked, although I think a couple of tracks stood out. But there was so much good new music around that time that it was stiff competition for them to get into my collection. Perhaps I should revisit them now.

It's a problem when an actor known only for one character gets killed off in their show.

I remember seeing her a good ten years ago and thinking "wow, she is going to clack it at any moment". Her emphysema was so bad she could barely speak. Then it seemed to get better, which is odd as usually you're screwed. 77 isn't a bad old age for someone who smoked so much. Sad though. Another part of my childhood gone :(

I knew who he was but looked him up on the internet as he wasn't that old and no cause of death on the BBC

General internet consensus is Liver cirrhosis or complications caused by it.

He said in an interview that he stopped drinking for a few years after he found himself on fire at a party!
