Shame to see Brucey go I guess most people my age grew up with him in a way. Also, one of that rare breed of TV stars from that era who wasn't retrospectively found out to have been a massive paedo, which is nice. 'Come on dollies, do your dealing.' |

Well the the sad departure of Bruce Forsyth that has added more red ink than has ever been needed before. Trooper, MaliA, nikachu, TheVision and Kern are now off the blocks with one point apiece, and myself, asfish and MrChris are storming away with two non-perpetrated deaths each. |

Bobby Heenan was an absolute genius. He played his role perfectly and judging by the responses on Twitter, I'm glad he's being remembered in such a manner. His comic timing was impeccable and his work with Gorilla Monsoon was legendary. I do think that wrestling in the 80's and 90's wouldn't have been half as good without him. |

A friend of mine was a big fan of Steely Dan and loaned me a couple of LPs, Aja and another that I can't now remember, but then this WAS in the 70s. I tried but I didn't get hooked, although I think a couple of tracks stood out. But there was so much good new music around that time that it was stiff competition for them to get into my collection. Perhaps I should revisit them now. |
