In this wintery time of year, we might get more time than usual to play games. We may be gifted new games from loved ones, or get old favourites from the past to play again.

Are there any new gaming experiences you're looking forward to this winter season? Perhaps a on a whole new games system?

Are there any classic favourites that you hope to play again this year for a nostalgic glow?

Please let us know.

I don't really dig out older games to replay (I flog them rather than collect), so seasonal gaming is always whatever Santa brings me.

And Dark Souls.

I think the only seasonal gaming I've done in past years was the Calendar Man achievement in Batman and Christmas Nights Into Dreams.

This year I'll be trying to mop up the final few Binding of Isaac Rebirth achievements (currently sitting at 265 of 276 8) ) before the 'Afterbirth †' DLC is released on January 3rd.

I tend to mop up some of the games of the year that I've missed so I've got the following to have a go at:

Starfox WiiU
Dishonoured 2
Homefront
Mirrors Edge Catalyst
And DOOM

I'm hoping that now The Forest has an ending that a certain MrDave will have a go at finishing it with me.

I’ve mentioned elsewhere but I always play Mortal Kombat on Christmas eve, that’s my thing but apart from that, I’m going to struggle to get any gaming in. I’m just too busy.

The new year will be different though. I’m going to make an Ikea arcade stick and buy a Nintendo Switch. Let the good times roll!

Currently enjoying Steep. It's very Christmassy what with all the snow.

Oh yeah, I have this and it's installed. I'll try and get on that. I do like to at least play the games once before they come down in price even lower than what I paid.
