I don't use survey monkey very often and when I have done, it's for simple stuff.

I've been asked to put a survey together today and for the best part, I've done what the boss has asked (even made sense of his email which is no mean feat).

The final question is asking for the question topics to be answered with two free text boxes for each answer. The two text boxes need to sit to the right of the question with a heading which is universal to each column of boxes.

for example:

Q. For each game, please let us know what time of day you play on each console.

Xbox One Playstation 4
Titanfall 2 (type answer here) (type answer here)
GTAV (type answer here) (type answer here)

Any idea how I can do this in survey monkey?

The technical name for it is an open grid, if that helps. Have a gander at this: https://help.surveymonkey.com/articles/ ... e-comments

If not, I happen to be looking at the codebase for a brand-new survey scripting service, so holler at me if you want need to jump ship.

It doesn't matter, if the answers are free text they will be useless anyway ;)

Hang on... Have you seen the rest of the survey already then? Smart man.

Grim... We don't use Survey monkey that often to be honest but I'd happily look at an alternative. For now though, that link you sent helped me right up until this point

Never mind, I think I'd be best to split it into two questions. It's probably a bit to confusing as it is anyway.

If you're just asking for times, you probably want a multi multi grid with the rows split into games and consoles rather than the times, something like:

Presumably you're adding logic to the rows, so the chances of someone having the same game for multiple consoles should be pretty slim, so the list won't be that long.

It wasn't actually games that I was asking about, I just used that as an example because the real question involves people expressing their interest in working on a service or working with us on a joint bid on said service.

I thought games might be easier to relate to though. Your example would probably work fine but it seems that survey monkey is limited in what it can do with multiple text boxes.

I think I'd be best in rewriting the question to split it across two multiple text box answers.
