Ok. You do get an answer as to the question "what does furikuri mean?" in the last episode.

It's very much in keeping.

The first episode is indicative of the rest, certainly.

I don't think it was made to be comprehended.

Eck, you weren't kidding.

What even is this?

I think FLCL is one of my favourite anime's of all time.

I like to see it as Gainax sticking two fingers up at the format after making a masterpiece like Evangelion. Hence the meta jokes, like when everything turns to manga and it cuts out as they run out of budget (literally because the studio ran out of budget to do those sort of artwork intensive scenes), and Kamon's obsession with mecha (specifically EVA).

Also...

All I will say is that I can see why the translators had a hard time. Which probably added to my confusion.

I've watched an episode of One Punch Man. It could be the greatest single episode of a thing I've watched. Actual genuine laughs outside my head with a noise made in the real world. I will watch more.

One Punch Man may be the best anime I've seen since Ninja Scroll. And it's actually funny.

Me like dis.

This sparring fight was awesome. It reminds me of a humourous Fist of the North Star.

It's certainly a thing. Suitably odd.

I got the blu-ray of Oooonnneee-Pawwwwwwwnchhh *electric guitar*... I mean One Punch Man the other week. (god that theme tune is awesome) It's soo good. First anime I've seen in years. It's amazing.

I love how it's one of the best animated things I have ever seen (seriously, it's jaw-dropping) but it plays with the animation style all the time. (For example Saitama is drawn very simply, almost featureless most of the time.)

I think you need to have seen some anime to get what it's really going for (a few episodes of Dragonball Z will do). But yeah, amazing.

I absolutely loved 1 Punch man and I haven’t been interested in an anime in ages. Is season 2 out yet?

April 2019 in Japan according to Viz Media. Possibility of an English (subbed) simulcast. Who knows when the dub will be available.

One Punch Man has reignited my love of anime. I'm currently watching Attack on Titan, and it's really, really good. A bit slow at times but when it throws down, it throws down.

Now I'm waiting for Funimation to catch up with the dubbing, I'm watching Hellsing Ultimate. Which is ace.

I also watched Attack on Titan: Junior High (season 1), which was bonkers but in a good way.
