Yeah, my thoughts after listening to some of the songs was "they ran out of ideas at St Anger, and they still haven't got anymore."

But,compared to Lulu, it's a masterpiece.

Well worth the phonecall!

I had the same experience last month. Renewal came in at £600ish, I checked confused and got a quote for £400ish, phoned up my place intending to cancel the renewal, and they came back with a price of £250!

I remember counting down the days till Load came out. (title)
Didn't even know they had a new album due out this time, which either says a lot about them or me.

Oh mine had nothing near that amount of discount, but I was still chuffed!

I quite liked Load, and Death Magnetic felt like a bit of a return to form, but this new one has made no impression on me at all. I'll stick with Gillian Welch's new one instead.

There were enough good tracks on Load and Reload to make an excellent album but they were mixed with too much filler.

Another day, another morning to be spent smashing the "Apply with LinkedIn profile" button .

Still, at least Mortimer was only shouting for 40 minutes from 1am, then awake again at 3am, after a trial run at 11.30pm. i think this is week 4 of it.

Good news is, though, I dropped 4 lbs in weight due to not having crisps and pop with my sandwich at lunchtime.

I am reminding myself the morals of "The Places You'll Go", as a Guardian of my friend's third son (not trusted with the first two, it seems), I am in charge of moral and ethical guidance, and is is as good a place as any to start (irregardless of the author having had an affair, which had quite the impact on his wife, who killed herself, and he married the mistress son after, but we'll take a tale when we can).

So, Thursdays, eh?

Last night I was at the West Midlands Sports Awards organised by myself, the BBC some other cliquey schmucks (including a girl called Naomi but it's unfair to call her a schmuck because she was the only one that spoke to me)

It was a pleasant evening I guess and I met some Paralympians and Olympians including Nick Skelton who is our oldest gold medalist for over 100 years.

I was part of it because of my work. How I've ended up with a sporty job when I'm not sporty in the slightest is beyond me but I shall carry on the charade until someone finds out.

That's definitely one for the 'Yay' thread. Sounds like both an awesome night and an excellent job.

I really got into the Paralympics this year and ended up watching loads (and not just because of Mr Peacock).

Yeah, it was alright. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

One of the guys I've been chatting with on a daily basis works for the BBC. I asked him last night what he does when he's not part of the annual awards and apparently he's the producer of BBC Midlands Today which is our local daily news programme. Who knew? He was a nice guy.

Have I mentioned the rubbish idea for secret santa here at work? Where you can steal someone elses present?

Anyway, I'm thinking that my present should be one of those tubes of glitter that explodes when opened. I think it will be amusing.

Oh, it was for a role I have previously interviewed for in October. I will email original recruiter guy and tell him that as they are still looking, time to push me forward again as they have already wasted two months dillydallying and I could have been starting in January.

DavPaz, we could be lunch buddies!

Oh, it was for a role I have previously interviewed for in October. I will email original recruiter guy and tell him that as they are still looking, time to push me forward again as they have already wasted two months dillydallying and I could have been starting in January.
Hahahah! They should also tell them you've had two months of extra experience, making you even more employable.
