Myp, you are right. Centripetal is towards the centre, centrifugal is away from the centre of rotation.

But Grim... is right in that it would seem odd to suggest the centrifugal force is like love between two people as it moves things say from the central point. If your lover were at the centre, centrifugal force would pull you away from them.

If you and your lover were both at the centre then centrifugal force could be imagined to be casting the circle of your love wide around, but that would be a tenuous analogy at best.

But using centrifugal forces as the analogy would be more in line with the wisdom of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, given that it is a roller coaster of love we're on here.

Let's not forget she mentions the pivotal moment, so there must be some sort of lever/fulcrum apparatus involved here as well.

I don't know your bedroom moves, Cradter, but if this is the form that it takes, yeah. Grim... Is probably in the best place to confirm.

That's not how centrifugal force works, though. If you were moving away from each other, then you weren't the true centre of the force, and just because you are moving away from the centre doesn't mean you are moving in opposing directions to each other. You could both be moving together away from the centre.

But really, I think Grim... Is right, and centripetal works better.

I don't think that the singer knows what she's singing.

Centriviggle.

It's potentially a song about open relationships, with the two lovers in the middle and others orbiting them yet tethered. Deep.

I'm sticking with jizz being flung off a rollercoaster, to be honest. Seems more likely.

I think we now need to give a thorough critique to the line 'it's perpetual bliss'.

The bliss would have to be a perpetually changing form of bliss, as the feeling, if the same, would after a time become a new normal baseline. So it is either perpetually changing bliss, or alternatively exponentially increasing bliss.

This was my concern. If bliss was perpetual and therefore the 'only' state, then it is just the norm. I like your exponential increase theory, but then it leaves us with a similar problem to loving someone twice as much tomorrow. Pretty soon it becomes transparent that you didn't care for them at all a few days ago.

Perhaps the bliss only lasts as long as the kiss does and because there's also a line that goes 'This kiss, this kiss (it's criminal)', maybe her kisses are actually deadly and Faith Hill is actually Poison Ivy.

Based on historical otters, this seems unlikely.

That was meant to say patterns, but I prefer otters. Especially historical ones.

There's a Marilyn Manson song, too. Here ends my knowledge of songs with the word "centrifugal" in.

And a Papa Roach song.

Did you Google that or just *know* it?

If the latter... You need to go and sit in a darkened room and fhink about the kind of person you are.

Why do places in India keep changing their names? I spent a good few minutes uses being confused as the graun said she was from Kalkuta which it turns out is Calcutta.
