When we got home from Darwin's 12 month jabs (four of them!) I noticed that on the certification for his immunisations the nurse had put his name as 'Godwyn Garland'.

I went back to the surgery and spoke to the receptionist, who spoke to the nurse when she came into reception. The nurse was particularly dismissive and rude, and just said 'yeah, whatever' to the receptionists solution. She hadn't recorded the NHS number or address later, intending to 'do it later', which would have been more difficult without having the right name to look it up against. The receptionist said there was no-one registered with a name anything like that, so....

I have a strong suspicion that the receptionist will report it to the manager. She said it was shocking and said she'd be really pissed off it were her. She's a locum, and I had the impression that things aren't working well with the locum

According to the local news, a Transformers film is being shot in central Oxford today. Curiously, crews never seem to use the area around Cornmarket for these things, even though the Westgate is looking suitably dystopian at the moment.

It's a fucking castle (lodge)!

Weirdly, I recall Mrs Fop and I looking at a very similar place when we were looking to move around Hebden Bridge. Was a few years ago now, but it looked very similar.

Yeah, but it's a castle. You need an armoury, a torture chamber, a mead hall, all sorts. No point half-assing a castle. What I think she's telling you MaliA is that you need to aim higher. Find a castle worthy of you and your heirs!

Where League of Gentlemen meets Happy Valley.

The castle looks brilliant. Stick a dormer on top, an outdoor office at the back, job done. A suburban castle.
