It will be the main company directory to replace loads of individual department shares and will accessed by all staff from now until the end of time so needs to be suitably descriptive and ideally amusing.
Basically it will be \\onestop.local\shares\something\

Fuck you, separation security!

Probably don't call it that.

There will be a proper system of NTFS permissions and groups in AD to keep everything secure.
Believe me, it will be a huge improvement over the current system of separate drives with no access between departments, then a huge dumping ground where everything ends up.

So there was a time when whatever.local would never publicly exist. So that was okay. You could use servername.local in the full knowledge that it would only ever stay internal to your network.

Then they pretty much derestricted top level DNS domains. So I can go ahead and buy a load of .local domains. Next time your users go to some .local address are they staying on your network or not? Depends how good your DNS guy is. We're going to go ahead and find out.

But what can you call it, then? .local is as good or bad as .judith or whatever.

Whatever you call it, buy the public domain.

So call it .myshop.local and go out and buy myshop.local.

Fucking DREEM TEEM.

We may have had a quick 90 minute break for Ember farming, but that's all :)

There was one memorable moment where I got summoned just as some cunt invader had killed Z off and was doing his "celebration" move as I blamphed into existence, so I stuck a fully-upgrade lightning halberd into his skull before I got sent home again.

Some horrible invaders around that spot.

The ember farming did net me another two 'level up worths' of souls, but it took fucking ages. :'(

Then :metul: :D

Very nearly had Arrow bitch too at the end of the session. Need to work on my outfit for next time.

Twice now I have seen one of the directors here steal a bag of crisps from the tuck box in the canteen.

Every week or so, a guy comes and restocks the box and he's relying on people being honest enough to pay for the food in there.... The director clearly isn't being honest!

I'm going to tell everyone I can.

Good question. I don't think so. The guy who comes in to replace it every week counts the money that's left in there which pays for the food. I imagine this guy does leaves boxes of snacks in every office around here.

I've just superglued three of my fingers to a toy dog, then a pair of scissors to the same toy dog.

The scissors are now seoarated from the toy dog, but are superglued shut.

This definitely doesn't happen. Someone else bought something from the new box and put their money in. The thief had some crisps and there was exactly the same amount of money in.

Q. Is CJ as smug in real life as he is on the telly? I'd really like to punch him in the face.

A. No, in person he is as nice as pie - although it seems somewhat odd that today is the day that revelations of him apparently killing a mugger have come to light. His smugness is, as it is for many TV personalities I imagine, probably just a character.

Or maybe he is actually that smug in real life, but he just hides it when fraternising with the "normals" - who knows? I liked him, anyway. But then, some people think I'm a bit smug. Hopefully none of those people want to punch me in the face, though.
