I read 'Dracula' when I was 10. When I re-read it over a decade later, I was stunned by how obvious the sexual undertones were, and how deeply misogynistic the book is. Still a bloody good read though.

I read Kim Newman's 'Anno Dracula' a while back - a crime thriller investigating the murder of prostitutes in Whitechapel set in an England where Van Helsing's plan failed and Dracula rules.
