Went to a new hospital outside Reading last week, it was built around a rabbit warren of a housing estate and we got a bit lost as the Sat Nav was outdated

Even my phone was having problems are there were so many dead-end roads that stopped at cul de sacs

In the course of our adventures we drove down a Bus Lane that wasn't in any way marked as one way, just has bus lane on the road.

So got a £60 penalty notice, oddly enough if I pay within 14 days they reduce it to £30, no idea why as its a council issued ticket so none of the tricks you can pull with private car park tickets apply.

So bit of a Yay at the end.

It's a five person interview panel (including an external member [ :hat: ] ) plus someone from HR in Germany skyping in.

I'm... not sure if I've aimed too high, this sounds pretty serious stuff and the panel are made of smart guys, some with considerable reputations. The external member is almost a 'star' in his field and while I have my own strengths I'm certainly not at that level.

I might get rumbled, they might realise that I'm not quite as good as I made out...

Just give it your best shot, Taxalot. Even if it doesn't work out, the experience should be powerful interesting.

Relax, enjoy it, and get the job!

Shopping for new tv for the games room yesterday.

Then the main tv packed up, so I'm shopping for 2 tvs.

Then I watched a video of a man fix his tv with a hairdryer, do I'm back to shopping for one tv (for now).

I'm not sure which of those are yays and which are nays.

I think on more than one occasion I've been to a hotel reception and asked for a hairdryer, followed by "no, it's not for me"

Thanks mate. I can't really lose, as i really like the job and the place I'm in right now, so it's not like I'm desperate. It allows me to be picky.

Overall, I'm excited.

After a weekend away, it seems the hair-dryered tv didn't make it. ☹️
