The best thing I've ever done in terms of dental 'self care' is switching to an electric toothbrush. I've gone from getting fillings embarrassingly often to not a single one since I made the switch a few years ago. The actual movement of the brush head is of benefit I'm sure, but for me I think it more comes down to the fact that you're slower and more deliberate with your movements so end up being much more thorough. Also the typically small brush head of these things lets you get into all the parts of your mouth. The difference with it for me has been incredible.

I can't bear it when I see someone using an electric toothbrush the exact same way as a manual one. Saw some stupid news item about them where they were all doing it and I wished they were all dead.

Well you can check the tax status of any car if you have the numberplate and make, and you can't get taxed if you're not insured...

I've come home early because crying Mrs wookie called, Seren has been crying literally all day and now that I'm here nic has LITERALLY RUN OFF! I'm sure she'll come back... I've tried many things to calm Seren and the winner so far is deafeningly loud, up tempo remixes of techno and house. She seems to prefer dubstep if anything.

First Born had colic for several months. I'd have happily swapped him for a dog. Or, hell, a newspaper. Anything to just stop the noise. But it's always, always, just a phase, whatever it is they're doing.
