My cat hasn't been himself for a couple of days. When I took him to the vet they found he had a blocked bladder and needed to be put under a general anaesthetic and have a catheter fitted. That went well, and they don't think it's caused any permanent damage to his kidneys, but it'll probably cost about £6-700 by the time I get him back.

Poor puddy cat. Good thing you caught it early though. Hope he's back to his normal self soon

The catheter was working fine overnight and he's feeling much better, but now that's blocked so they've had to remove it. Now waiting to see if he's weeing ok without it, or if they have to put a new one in

Nay: Our little boy is teething. Eight back teeth all springing painfully forth at once. He's ok with it, mostly, because he is resilient like his Mama, but it is affecting his poor tummy. Careful not to be seen drooling, it has all gone tummy-wards. Nappy changes can be surprising, and sudden, and fraught.

This was never more true than on Saturday, when we emergency pulled over into a garden centre carpark to perform a nappy removal manoeuvre on the poosplosion in the back. Crouched over the back seat somehow (goodness knows how) we had to strip him naked and 80 wet wipes later he didn't have *quite* so much poo on him. But man, it was everywhere. So much so that he went home wearing only Russell's tshirt as a giant dress, and Russell had to drive home with no top on.

But yay: new shiny toofs?
