I really don't need a swimming cap, Dave.

Neither did Duncan Goodhew but it never stopped him. Go for it Zardoz!

we even have a "Goodhew close" :)

That's a niche early-warning system.

Don't do this. Firstly, going from micro SIM to nano SIM (which I am certain is what Jazzy is doing) isn't just smaller around - it's thinner too. Secondly, if you get the sizing even slightly wrong on a nano SIM, there's a small chance it can slip out of the tray and end up loose in the phone, or get wedged in. These are expensive things to fix. Your provider will swap your SIM for free.

Mini SIM to micro SIM was fine, but yeah, don't do it with the nano SIM.

I was reckless and did it with the nano SIM.

T'were right disappointing. So unfeeling.

(But my phone still works)

Sorry Vision, I didn't even see this post. Rich is right, I am going mini to Nano. I did look at it as it's already been cut down from one of the bigger ones but ruled it out. Virgin will give me a new one for free and it could probably do with updating anyway. No point leaving myself without a phone. :)

I like the giffgaff gaff sims. They send you one sim and it can have the inside bits pop out to become any size you desire.

My Uncle was cutting some sort of metal rod\bar that he had in tension all on his own at his farm in France.

When he cut through and broke the tension it sprung and hit him in the face :(

Knocked him out for 30 minutes and he has a deep gash above his eye

He reckons had he been 6 or so inches closer when it sprung it would have take the top of his head off :o

So how did this end up? I assume you've passed your probation, right? Have I missed the update in the Yay or Nay thread? Hoping for some resolution and a happy ending.

He's not got a job in a massage parlour, Mr Chris. You'll have to go elsewhere. I think Findus Fop and Gazchap might be able to help, for a price. Well, not much of a price in Gazchap's case.

I did indeed pass my probation in the end. I pulled my socks up and they were very pleased with what I'd done. Thanks for asking.

Nah... they were sitting in different rooms a minute ago like silly little children. This will carry on forever but luckily, my contract is only until January so the lady I've replaced (who is currently on maternity leave) can deal with them then.

Nay - I'm at the dentist having part one of fix Jazz's mouth done.

Yay - I've just had a tooth scanned and they're building a 3D model to fill it like having one 3D printed!

They 3D print a new version of GJ for it to slot into.

More of a yay but nay - chap in the neighbouring team came back from Japan and brought loads of awesome food, so I have been munching on dried squid all day. Yay! I'm getting complaints about the smell of dried squid. Nay!

We help out with a local cat charity, and sadly a mother and her kittens had been handed in and had no where to live. NAY!

However, this means that these little floofs have come to live with us for a few weeks. YAY!

Naming is hard, because you want names to put up on the website so people know to adopt them, but the new owners always change them anyway, and you get so many through the system it gets hard to make them unique. I'll forward STORMHAMMER to the naming committee.

Other name suggestions welcome!
