I'm still going to be in Cornwall, so can't come, much as I'd like to.

Right, that's sorted. I've arranged for the local paper to run a picture of you saying you have been kidnapped and brainwashed onto thinking it is ok so they won't listen to your protests. There's an ANPR flag on the car which should trigger the camera over the border. To make to look realistic, your wife amd kids have all been added to the no fly list.nae bother.see you there.

Okay, here's my getting-there plan - train it via London for the cost of a mere *gngh* £85, then hop off the train fresh as a daisy at around half one and take the scenic walk up along the Great River Ouse, through Priory Country Park - beating up rival rollerblading disco gangs along the way with their own baseball bats - before checking in at Waitrose where I shall buy a mass quantity of no doubt excellent beer. Then I shall phone one of you lot and bleat plaintively for a lift to heft me and all my beer to Grims, or alternatively book a taxi.

EDIT: Actually, looking again, it's only 400m to Grims from Waitrose across Goldington Green Park, with a sturdy rucksack I can make that with t'beer.

Alrighty, not long to go!

Can I get shouts from people who "might" bring a plus 1, and people who want floor space for the night?

I'll bring the meat, Gary will bring the buns.

Is camping permissible? We have an aggressive popup tent.

Hurrah!

But I bring the buns, you both need to bring meat.

Camping is indeed available (otherwise it wouldn't be a festival!). I look forward to seeing your tent bully the others.

HANDY HINTS FOR NOOBS (or people that forgot)

The house will have MeatUp signs outside. No-one will answer the doorbell, so just walk in. We're in the garden (d'uh).
Turn up around midday (or any time after). Food will start somewhere between 1pm and 2pm.
Bring enough food for yourself and four other people. So, if you'd eat a burger you bring five burgers. If you'd eat two burgers, bring ten.
I'll cover basics like buns, cheese and sauce. If you've got a recipe you want to make then either let me know so I can get the things in you need or bring them with you.
Bring drink! There will be somewhere cold to put it.
I'll get a few bottles of coke and lemonade, but if your drink requires lots of them you probably want to bring some too.
If you can, bring something to sit on.
If you stop at the supermarket (which is really close to our house) grab a few bags of ice cubes.
The world-famous Yes Chefs will be cooking, but if you'd like to have a go you'd be very welcome. Just approach the closest one and offer to take over. Call them back when you are bored.
The weather forecast looks good!

At download we watched two girls trying and put one of those back in its bag, in the pouring rain, for about an hour. It was hilarious.
