I don't have the other platform though. (Assuming you're talking about Zelda; obviously I already have SV on the PC)

Why not just ask Gaz to forego buying 3 of his pointless gadgets this month and buy it for you?

My pro controller came today and it feels lovely. Obviously I can't test it with the console until tomorrow but for build quality and solidness, it's head and shoulders above the Xbox One pad.

Given the £20 premium it really should be.

Nintendo has added the Switch to its bug bounty program; it would pay up to $20k cash for any kind of jailbreaking exploit.

It came just before I had to go and take the kid's swimming.. But the Switch looks lovely! It's smaller than I thought it would be but it feels really nice.

I haven't turned it on yet mind...

Good work Findus Fop.

As for the Switch, I've only managed a quick go this evening but wow, it's a joy to use! It's full of typical Nintendo loveliness.

I've had a couple more goes on it today and messed about with the dock and the various ways to set it up. I'm still loving it and I can see this taking over my 3DS and being used as a handheld more than a console through the telly. My Xbox one is looking worried...

This isn't based on that much data -- Twitter, here, talking to people. But I'm pretty sure there's a heck of a lot more buzz around the Switch launch than there was for the Wii-U, or any other Nintendo hardware for a decade.

:this: I thought that I was more aware of it since I ordered one, but yeah... You're right.

You have to wonder how much better the Wii U would have done if it was given a different name.

Bit harsh:

Quote:
Switch owners complaining of distracting dead or stuck pixels, or light or dark patches on the screens of their brand new consoles, are being told by Nintendo that they are “normal” and are not defects.

New Switch players have taken to online discussion boards, including a 2,000-comment strong Reddit post, to complain of screen issues distracting play, unbecoming of a £280 handheld gaming machine.

In a support document entitled “There are black or bright dots on the Nintendo Switch screen that do not go away, or there are dark or light patches on the screen” Nintendo said: “Small numbers of stuck or dead pixels are a characteristic of LCD screens. These are normal and should not be considered a defect.”

Also what the shit

Quote:
Nintendo also warned users that using the Switch near an aquarium or within a metre of another wireless device, including laptops, wireless headsets, wireless printers, microwaves, cordless phones or even USB-3.0 compatible devices “such as hard drives, thumb drives, LAN adapters, etc”, might cause the Joy-Con controllers to disconnect from the Switch.

Switch joins room-scale VR on a short list of "gaming technology that demands you dedicate a special room of your house to it."
