I think this looks half decent. I'm getting it on ps4, mostly for the COD4 remaster. Hopefully shipment will be one of the 10 maps so small children can scream "skeep we'll get sheeepment"

I am in for this. It's CoD's last chance with me!

Do I have to buy it soon to get the COD4 remaster?

With the preorder you can get the single player of cod4 1 month early and access to the infinite warfare beta.

Don't you need to preorder the Legacy edition (£70) for CoD 4 Remastered? The boggo one won't do.

Looks like 25 quid extra for COD4, yeah.

Happy to give the new one a try; Advanced Warfare was decent. Most recent one didn't do it for me.

Would love to recreate the 'good old days' though. We just need Bobby to get a fucking PS4!

Yeah you do. It took the money straight away too, unlike other pre orders usually wait until a few days before release. Oh well, I haven't played a cod in ages and wanna play 4 again. I guess Zaphod is getting it, do scotland still play on ps4?

I'm sure Zaphod and the Scottish Ladies will be getting this. Just buy it, Myp. Pretend it's a racetrack or something.

Gill and Jen have a 'Bone. :(

I'm not spending £70 on frigging Call of Duty, no way. I bought AW for £37.50 at release and there's still plenty of people playing that.

The remaster is more expensive that I thought it might be, but it is a full game, if only an old one.

I would weirdly have been more okay with a 49/20 split, despite it being the same price.

I can't even remember how many maps were in the original. It says 10 are released with it, I imagine with the dlcs they might add more maps. Has there been a list of which maps are on it yet?

I seem to remember them saying the one with the crashed chopper in the middle was in, as way the one with the building site and the three storey building in the middle.

Crash and erm.....vacant? Bloc? I think overgrown was in one video I've seen. I'd expect wetwork too.

Apparently 10 first up and then the other 6 for free in December. That's all the original maps.

They've got both, but they don't really use them for anything beyond Netflix anymore.
Well. They've never really used them for anything beyond Netflix at all, thinking about it.

Gill was obsessing over the trailer when it came out though - so they'll probably get it, even if they end up never playing it.

COD BLOPS 3 - 86.21GB
COD AW - 71.04GB
COD Ghosts - 56.19GB

But it feels like a shinier prettier CoD4. I like it so far. Hopefully the multiplayer is just as good.

Beta is available for download on the PS4 now - and i have some spare codes *however* I dont know if you will be able to use them on a normal UK account - give its via the Activision website you probably can but YMMV

https://www.callofduty.com/infinitewarfare/beta

I have 5 so if you want to try let me know - if it does not work on a normal UK account then it will work with a canadian one (2 minutes to setup) and when you download it you can play it with your regular account

I played this at EGX this year dontchaknow. It looked stunning and the sound effects were incredible. Just a shame the movement system was more BLOPS3 sput sput sput jet pack that AW whooshy whup bazooma jet pack. The shotguns were weak as piss at anything but right upside someone's mug and, I know, because they let you customise your rig for a few minutes and I elected for two primary shotguns because one shotgun isn't enough.

The winning team then got to play the CoD Remaster. We won and then I was let down by how goddamn slow MW feels after all these years. I was more excited to play IW 2BH.

Also: free beta key please (assuming you can set up a US account without putting in any cash money deets).

Sent - and yes just pick a different email address and give it a valid US postal address (google for one if you dont have anything you'd want to use)

Right now in typical COD beta form its mostly broken you can get in - setup your classes - spend your free 30 credits for a supply drop but it doesnt want to join you into any lobby

Reading around some people are getting into games randomly so up to you if you want to give it a try or wait till tomorrow to see if they have ironed stuff out

And Welcome back ! - you've been missed around here.

It started working just before 1:00am last night so here is a few matches worth of gameplay

First thoughts :

Its very fast
Typical COD i need a good 4 or 5 hits to kill them but i often die in a single hit from them (even though this is not Hardcore)

Agree with you Zaphod. Get killed what feels like instantly, even though I smash 5 or 6 bullets into them. It's fast, the jetpack things are a bit annoying as everyone just uses them all the time. Can't even figure out where you get the killstreaks too.

I did a bit better today and the only real change was a different Rig (the middle one) - I wonder if it has extra armour or defence , the 'special' weapon is better (dual wield fast pistol type weapons)

For the killstreaks i dont have many unlocked but on the first rig the 2nd power up changes the streaks to 'continue' so it does not reset after each death.

Worth playing around with the other Rig types to see if any work better for you (they have also added Kill Confirmed and a new map to the rotation today)

I changed to the drone thing that explodes. From the big ass plane, as I haven't managed to get a big enough streak yet. Although I'm starting to get back into the swing of it. Had a few rounds of domination that went positive k/d. I've been mostly using the 3rd rig with the dual guns as the powerup thingy. Haven't noticed any major differences in them yet though apart from the guns you get as a powerup.
