This, also, is kinda tempting. I'd take the Friday off and head down on the Megabus most like. I haven't been properly out drinking on a night out in London since my early twenties. Um, where do people normally stay?

On one of your serious nights out, I think your arrival time home is late enough to argue you've actually stayed in London / in a train toilet.

In all seriousness, if I stay in town I wait until 2am and then hit up lastminute.com. I can normally grab a room nearby for between £35-£50.

Sometimes they're shit holes and sometimes they're fucking sweet. Much like the with the ladies, I'm rarely fussy at that time of night.

Waterloo is a little closer (as is Blackfriars, if you get off on the south side), but all three are nearby.

If you're getting a train to Waterloo from outside the city, walk from Waterloo. Endless faff going one station on the Underground.

I'd probably go to Blackfriars. Nicer walk + better station for a similar distance.

I sold some rubbish on eBay, so this venture out is now looking likely Will join after work.
