Have you seen this website yet? Basically, you search for any Simpsons quote and it'll show you a screengrab from that episode. It's amazing!

One perk of being off work sick: just heard a composition by my old teacher at secondary school played on Radio 3.

Just had an email out of the blue from Rockstar games telling me that my password had been reset. The URL in the email was legit, I've gone on and tried to login with my saved password which no longer worked. So I've reset it. Bit of a concern though, that someone has somehow got my password.

You don't need to have the password to reset the password. If you think about it, it has to be that way.

Post subject:  Re: Bits & Bobs 46

I don't follow. Unless my email account was compromised which seems less likely as it's all two-factor and whatnot. It wasn't a password reset request email it was an email telling me that the password had already been reset.

It'll teach you not to use "password1" as a password.

Well that makes me feel better then, but it does point to them having some issues. I've emailed support so we'll see what they say.

Could be that someone put your e-mail address into their "reset password" screen and it just resets the password rather than sending you a link to reset it yourself?

The email said this:

Quote:
Rockstar Games Social Club

The password for your account Loopdreams has been updated.
If you were aware of this change, then you don't need to do anything. However, if this was a mistake or done without your consent, you can reset your password or contact [email protected].

Social Club is a members-only community and website dedicated to enhancing Rockstar titles through features like stat tracking, leaderboards, Crews, virtual events and more.

It does suggest that someone has done something naughty, and the fact it's happened to more than one person. Does the rockstar account have any links to payment details?

I came out tonight for a pub quiz and (genuinely) only a couple of pints.

I'm now in the pub with four German people I've never met before and we're banging back pints of wheat beer, while deciding what the latest opening bar in Glasgow is. I might need to work from home tomorrow.

Rule one is that you can go out and get as trashed as you like on a school night, but you've got to be at your desk the next morning.

I think rule one (a) is that an exception is granted if you've been drinking Mali's turbo cider.

If you are drinking that on a school night it is highly improbable that you are in gainful employment.

Pffh! Rule one is that you can do whatever you want as long as you're signed in the next day, but that doesn't mean you have to be signed in at your physical desk.

That's just masochism. I, and everyone else in my office, routinely work from home for all sorts of reasons so I'm not going to make my life harder by forcing myself into town when I've got a stinking hangover.
