Just had an email out of the blue from Rockstar games telling me that my password had been reset. The URL in the email was legit, I've gone on and tried to login with my saved password which no longer worked. So I've reset it. Bit of a concern though, that someone has somehow got my password.

You don't need to have the password to reset the password. If you think about it, it has to be that way.

I don't follow. Unless my email account was compromised which seems less likely as it's all two-factor and whatnot. It wasn't a password reset request email it was an email telling me that the password had already been reset.

Well that makes me feel better then, but it does point to them having some issues. I've emailed support so we'll see what they say.

Could be that someone put your e-mail address into their "reset password" screen and it just resets the password rather than sending you a link to reset it yourself?
