So I've spent just shy of £300 on iRacing since October (£296.03 to be precise). It seems a lot (and it is), but I've logged 111 track hours on Steam so far - that works out at £2.64 per hour. And I only linked my Steam account in January I think.

Let's put that into perspective: I paid £72 for Fifa 16 and The Show: MLB 16 combined and I've probably played them for a grand total of 10 hours.

I try and justify my gaming purchase sometimes too. Based on how long I've played something or indeed, if I've even played it.

I always come back to the same point though. I enjoy buying and having games. You clearly enjoy your racing game so don't worry about it but also, don't think about the money.

<69.99> Fire Emblem Fates etc. bundle. Mostly not real money, I'd just sold stuff on ebay so used the paypal balance. But still, look at me and my big fat spend.

I do really enjoy it, but it was more of a point of interest than a worry as such.

Exactly that.

It's because he refuses to use Google Maps.

Beyond being able to use the Neo Geo controllers I already had, none really. I just like the idea of buying JAMMA and MVS carts. I just need to buy a MVS>JAMMA converter now, but that's about another £70, so I'll wait.

Do you have a CRT TV?

If not, you can still get your fix with House of the Dead: Overkill on the Wii (and the hand cannon periperhal).

Blue Estate is an odd take on this if you want another cheap alternative

PS4 , feels very house of the dead like but it uses the DS4 and motion tracking for it - its not the same as playing the light gun games but comes close and its also often on sale for around a fiver

Not got a CRT, hence looking for a more modern alternative.

The Wii never doesn't have the precision for accuracy with gun games does it? I've not got HOTD but I've got other stuff like 'Gunblade NY & L.A. Machineguns' and 'Ghost Squad', but I've never got round to trying them.

It's been a while, but I certainly remember it being "good enough". The edges of the screen got a bit ropey, but apart from that it was fine.

I might have to give it another go. :) I always found that I had to get my cursor on the screen first and then move it around, with the remote not really pointing at where I was aiming on the screen.
