My wired mouse is playing up, I think it is with it being shoved in my laptop bag all the time... I want to replace it with a wireless one.

Which ones do you guys use/ recommend.

I was disappointed at only 800 pounds.

But more seriously, I use a logitech m705 with my laptop , which I like plenty. Although it does rely on you being right handed, and liking the logitech spinny/clicky wheel switch.

I use this, had no problems with it in the several years I've had it. Not used for gaming or anything.

Logitech doober

Don't get the red one though, my wife got that one and the buttons feel different/less tactile.

You have a wired mouse?!

I use Apple Magic Mices, they're brilliant but I'm guessing no good to you.

Look at Logitech ones on Amazon that are rated 5 star, they'll be reet.

Logitech M185 here.

£12 from Tesco Direct - I'm a cheap date computers and peripherals-wise. :)

http://www.tesco.com/direct/logitech-m1 ... lsrc=aw.ds

Sure, it's pretty basic but it does everything I need it to do, and is nicely ergonomic. Highly recommended.

All the pros use a wired mouse.

But when I don't, I use a Wedge mouse, which is all right: https://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-gb ... windows-10

Really? I know that it's hard to judge by looking, but that just doesn't look comfortable.

It's looks super-odd, but it's fine to use. It bends, too, which is nice and show-offy on the train.

If it's going into your work computer, I'd be surprised if you were allowed to buy your own peripherals, unless IT give you the go-ahead.

Consequences, I guess, same way they stop him from shitting on his desk.

It might phone home when it installs new drivers (I'd be surprised if it does, though). But if you're not allowed to do it, don't do it.

HP X4000b. Gets bonus points for being bluetooth (so not requiring a dongle).

Then get a pair of these so you can recharge batteries without having a battery charger with you:
http://www.usbcell.com/

Edit: I got mine about 2/3 years ago, dunno if there is a better one now.

We have full admin rights on our PCs. Media can be locked down.

In one of my old jobs, we just had PCs. No admin rights or anything. I could install what I liked on there and you may notice that this time in my life coincided with spending a lot of time on this forum.

Your employers sell a bloody product that does management of desktop software installation with no need for end users to have admin rights.

Yes, I get that. We use IDA for our corporate software installs, but I have the rights to install, additional hardware and software.

The corporate laptops are a halfway house, of approved products and self installs. Governed by users not doing anything silly, as should only be used for minimum personal use.

Having used a laptop that was completely locked down. All products on a whitelist, only approved applications drawn down (took months to put a product on the list). Yes this is a more flexible way of working.
