Let's just play on Steam instead. It's been £2 in sales before - no excuse not to own it. Plus it'll run on an Amstrad calculator.

What's the voice chat like on Steam? I've never used it.

I have it on my Xbox 360 but don't mind buying it on Steam if it's cheap enough.

I have both on Steam. I can play both, even though i prefer L4D1. I don't have any voice chat though.

The idea of having time to type anything in L4D surprises me.

Okay so the only people for Xbox are myself / Grim... and The Vision - everyone else is Steam and the only person who's suggested a Specific date is Grim... and Friday (I know TheVision cant make Monday)

So do we want to try a few games of it next Friday then (9th) on Steam ?

If this is going to go 360 I could join in.

To be honest L4D2 would be in my top ten of ever, if I'm being honest. Not only because it was the first online co op game I ever played but also because of the hours I've pumped into it. The modded maps just gave you an endless supply of greatness. I would probably say top three? oo, that's a touch one. Fallout 3 would be number one, closely followed by either Half Life 2 or Mario 64 (because it was the game that made 3D platforming work).

Both are amazing. I prefer 2, but I wouldn't shun 1 in any way. I've got no Gold any more, but I'd happily pay £6 if we played L4D (either of them) a few times this month.

I never bought them on Steam, because I didn't think anyone here would be interested in playing together on PC. I'll buy either of them if this would actually happen, though.

So I've played COD on Steam and it allows you to 'type' messages which I find are better than the voice chat at times (you hit 'T' to talk and then type a line of text e.g. "There is a sniper on the roof above A") Does anyone know if L4D does this ?
