It is not about the not doing something. It is about the pride for the team, and the enjoyment of watching..

Is that THE team or YOUR team?

I'm not sure I don't not buy into not calling my team not my team.

Each to their own. I suppose it depends on the conversation.

If the team I play for win, I say we won. If I don't play and we win, I still say we won.

What if the team that you didn't not play for didn't win? Wouldn't you still not not say you hadn't not won?

if i tree falls in a forest, and no one hears....... :)

As an English person (and British person), it seems reasonable to be able to use 'we' when supporting such teams.

As a paying supporter and member of Aston Villa, it also seems reasonable to consider oneself as part of the club.

Managed to watch England v Fiji, US v Samoa, and New Zealand v Argentina.

Was out on Saturday so didn't record the South Africa match but apparently missed a treat.

England were scrappy, the yanks kept on making stupid mistakes, and I'd forgotten how well the Argentinians play.

Sadly they had enough balls to go for the win.

It's so deflating watching England fail to chase a game

France v Ireland

Half-time reaction so spoilered:

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Bloody hell the French are being brutal, and I'm not 100% sure it's accidental. Their decapitation strategy might swing the game in their favour, but to get Johnny Sexton out of the game so soon? :blown:

But then, they are French.

I was kinda surpised that the irish let the ball glip out of their hands so much in the first half

As expected, an antipodean final. Hoping the Kiwis will win it.
I watched an interesting BBC Wales programme aboutNigel Owens, who's reffing the game. Nothing really revelatory, but interesting nonetheless: you don't get many shows about referees, after all.
