Sometimes I read the blog simply because the guy is an arse, and it makes me laugh to think that there's one person in the world who actually possesses alone about 90% of the entire planet's hubris.

But today he explains to the peons why CITATIONS ARE NOT NEEDED IF YOU ACTUALLY KNOW STUFFS.

So, DocG, I just wanted to break this to you. Every time you offered citations for 'facts' you were just proving yourself more dumb :DD

(Seriously, this guy (fisherman chap, not Doc G!) is the biggest knobhead on the Internet). I cannot imagine having that volume of ego. I'd recommend reading some of his posts to actually appreciate the level of utter oblivious dickishness he spouts, but it's about knitting, so probably don't.

Someone tell him we have a vacancy. He'd go down a treat.

What does SQL have to do with anything?

He needs to go on The Cube.

My bio professor demanded written questions on every lecture - along with the answer we had found or -- a list of at least 100 journal papers where we had looked for the answer. I thought he was a nice guy.

I know... I mentioned that to Russell. He thinks maybe Knitting Chap has read the term Structured Query Language, not realising it relates directly to SQL in terms of computing, perhaps assuming it meant something along the lines of exploding oneself in a methodical and structured fashion. Maybe he's read the term alongside a piece on citations and is just parroting this without understanding.

It's the only thing we could think of and is nothing other than conjecture, but would be DELICIOUSLY ironic if so, given the content of his post.

EDIT: hehe, 'exploding' was supposed to say 'explaining'.

On his page "You are welcome to look, read, study and learn."

I don't think the thing that I have learned is the thing that he thought I would learn.

He says
Quote:
When I was young, I loved Wagner, but was always unhappy that he mixed up German mythology.

Looking at the recent PBS special on the architecture of Ludwig II, I realized that Wagner was writing in German, but not about "Germans".

I thought Robwrt Wagner was ace in Austin Powers and the link to knitting is a good one as he was in Broken Lance and when you make a duck fight another duck in a catback joust you have to use a knitting needle as a lance (and a 35mm film cannister lid as a shield) who u can shatter to make a broken lance I did not realise he did composting too.

But if I then had to refer back to something he had written in my own piece, we'd have a problem.

Someone should introduce him to Richard Murphy. Or perhaps that how Murphybollocks originated.

Right, so what we appear to have here is a bumptious, arrogant arse who never backs anything he says with facts, nor provides substantiation of any kind - and appears to be proud of that fact?

I'm frankly tempted to say "what's wrong with that then" :D

Shit, I've made a career out of it... :D
