So since buying a playstation 4 i was convinced i would buy fifa 16. To defeat my nephew mainly.

But since playing the Pes 2016 demo this morning i'm in doubt. That deno played superbly. Although the stadiums looked last geb compared to the fifa 15 demo.

And i could make the totti selfie. Highlight of my day until now.

What will you be buying if anything at all.

I don't care for these pong clones, but the rule is always:

PES is simulating football, FIFA is simulating Sky Sports coverage of football.

FIFA for the first time in seven years. Because Bournemouth are in the Premier League.

Not sure if I've mentioned that yet.

My dad told me about Leicester yesterday. I mask my indifference and lack of knowledge by repeating verbatim stuff I've heard elsewhere LIKE EVERY FOOTBALL FAN EVER.

Aren't we one game into the season, so in theory somewhere around a third of the division are in first place?

I also know nothing about football.

PES 2016 seems to be scoring well. But I'm only getting going in my second Master League season in PES 2015. So I don't think I can justify the upgrade.

BUT, apparently it has dynamic weather. Which isn't terribly exciting, true. BUT it means if you're unlucky enough to get a match on a sunny day, you may not have to lumbered with not being able to see a single thing in the box because of stadium shadows being cast all over the place. One of the most aggravatingly stupid design decisions, that.

I do hate that sun. Realism in a way it spoils you game. In fifa too.

Exactly. Pointless realism in place of enjoyment.

I did appreciate the fact Eurogamer's writer picked up on PES's in-game menus. Some of the clunkiest labelling and organization I've ever seen. It's like you're seeing the actual code they're using to throw everything together. Still love PES though.

Yep...

from a romantic perspective: this makes PES still feel like the game by the loving amateur hacker.. (even though it is a multi million dollar production by itself.

I've got Fifa on its way as well. For obvious reasons.

I have to say, after countless games of Fifa I've played through the years (although not recently) playing as Bournemouth at Small Town Stadium with generic faces, it's sort of amazing to play it at an incredibly realistic version of Dean Court, along with player and team commentary, chanting, realistic-looking players (some more than others though).

One minor annoyance is that Martin Tyler refers to our old name as Bournemouth and Boscombe United, when it's actually Athletic. But I'll let him off.

I'm rubbish though. See here: http://games.dailymotion.com/video/x37p0v2

They have put a lot of attention to detail in. For example, if you play at the Stadium of Light, the crowd thins by 60% in the second half.

Haha!

I'm amazed they even put the away fans in the right area at Dean Court. They don't sit behind the goal but have about 1/3rd of the East Stand.
