Not quite, but a hugely addictive first-person puzzle game of that ilk, anyway. I bought it a while ago but have only really started in earnest recently, and it's brilliant. Puzzles range from easy to fiendish but you don't need to finish them all to get two of the three endings. The philosophical musings of the story really make you want to find out what has happened to this environment and who the characters are.

It's a tenner in the Steam sale at the moment and coming to PS4 later this year, so you really have no excuse if you like this sort of game.

Bought it in the Steam sale and currently playing it. It is fantastic. There is a free demo as well.

I played the demo as soon as it was released and thoroughly enjoyed it so it's on my list. I particularly like the peaceful desert island aesthetic of it as it stands in stark and relaxing contrast to the sci-fi vibe most such games go with. I actually grabbed the first 'chapter' when it was recently released for Android just to see how it played and it was mostly fine, though I wouldn't like to play the whole game on the touchscreen. My only issue with it from the demo is that there were times when you had to combine objects in non-obvious ways so I got stuck not because I couldn't work out the solution but because I simply had no idea that X could be combined with Y in the required way. Which is a bit of a problem because your ideal puzzle game of this ilk should lay out all the mechanics for you and then challenge your ingenuity instead of leaving you to guess about functional stuff. Although, conveniently, I can't remember exactly what it was that I got stuck on so there's always the possibility it's just me being dim. Also, hopefully in the full game where they're got more time they do a better job of introducing these things. Anyway, I still really enjoyed it and am looking forward to picking up the full version at the some point.

In the full game each tool is introduced gradually (after you've unlocked them by beating challenges). I can't say I've had any issues at all with the mechanics. Buy it! It won't be any cheaper than a tenner for a while.

Good to hear.

If I buy it now it'll just sit unplayed for <some amount of time> which is pointless. I've been pretty good recently at reducing my backlog and not adding anything more to it unless it turns up for stupid ridiculous cheap. I've got to the stage that I don't really mind paying full price for something because I have to do it so rarely given the size of my backlog. Even with the PS4 I only bought the console itself at Christmas and my family supplied enough games to keep me going probably until next year. Arkham Knight's the only thing I've bought full price for a long time and in the next six months Fallout 4 will likely be the only other thing.

Personally I would buy it now and bump it up on the priority list. You will love it.

That reads more as a command than a prediction. ;)

I've solved everything up to and including world C4 without getting stuck for long anywhere. Now I am at C5, and I can't do a single puzzle! >:(

Maybe I'm just not up for it today.

Had another go and immediately solved three of the four puzzles in that world. If fact, I have now solved all the red puzzles except that one. Hnnngh! Seriously considering using one of the helper thingies.

Funny, how you can get so focused on what you think the solution will look like that you can't figure out the real solution, despite it actually being simpler!

So I've been playing this the last two days and it's pretty much cementing itself as one of the best games I've played all year. Maybe ever.

It is wonderful and you should be playing it.

The puzzles are great, sure, but the real driving force is the story. People compare it to Portal, but outside the puzzles it's so much more than that.

Except, there isn't a story. It's a setting that makes you think about consciousness, rather than tell you about consciousness. It's very special, and the way it tackles things is unique to video games.

By far the most Important game I've played in a long time. It's I think £16-20 on PS4 on sale. You won't regret it.

Yes, I would also say it's one of my favorite games of all time. Don't know if it's top 20 or top 100 or what, because I was never mad enough to sit down and work out an actual list, and I have played a lot of games, but it's up there somewhere.
