Downloading videos from youtube

We are soon going on a long, long flight.

Young Master T loves youtube videos of fire engines, so I would like to download some and get them onto the ipad for him to watch on the flight. A quick google reveals quite a few options. Which is Da Best choice?

That only works with ceiling fan instruction manuals.

I've had a few basic browser plug in ones that worked 'flashget' and similar - the advantage for those is that they give you an option of which quality stream you want to grab
