The other big problem with this place is the lack of parking spaces, combined with it being in a residential area where every road surrounding it has cars parked nose-to-tail 24/7, causing me to have to park some distance away. Luckily, my van is tiny, so will fit in the smallest spaces, and I was lucky enough to find a space 100 yards away when I got back at 10 last night.

I've been asked to stay an extra night to work on a pilot project so have booked into a Travelodge a few miles away, where I know there are plenty of spaces and the room is guaranteed to be bigger than a broom cupboard.

Some might question why you aren't already staying in the Travelodge.

And why you drove to London. Bloody tourists.

Me too. The place I stayed was the best deal at the time, for 2 nights, not too far from Edgware, and the boss wanted to keep the costs down.

But now I'm dong someone a favour and the cost is less of a concern.



Had to have a vehicle for moving kit around. If I'd had a choice, I wouldn't be here at all.

3.30am is a great time to be driving in London. Only a few lone drunks wandering around and some early shift workers at bus stops, with very light traffic. A couple of balm pots racing around at about 60mph in 30 zones, probably trying to provoke the rozzers to play Catch Me.

Going on shift at 6.30pm was a very different kettle of fish. Every box junction blocked by a dick head who MUST get through the lights this time, motor cyclists determined to squeeze between lines of traffic, scraping against wing mirrors and glaring at car drivers as thought they have a divine right to ignore all rules of the highway. It's like everyone has had their courtesy gene destroyed.

Can't wait to get out of here after knocking outvsome zeds.

Apparently something is going on with Hulk Hogan and it's rumoured to be about the use of the "N" word, as far as I can tell from a google search.

Anyway, the link above has two really quite mental videos which I was wondering if the wrestling fans on the forum might be able to explain the last one.

One video has Booker T accidentally calling Hulk Hogan the N-word which is hilarious given Booker T's shoves his face in his hands when it accidentally slips out his mouth presumably on live telly.

The last video that I'm looking for clarification is John Cena's use of the N-word in what appears to be the most ill advised skit in the history of wrestling. Anyone know the background to that?

Well, they've totally Benoit-ed him from their site and from everything they do. The rumours are he went on some racist tirade, but I'm sure we'll find out at some point. There's a video from a few years ago that people have mentioned, but it's apparently mostly harmless. There's also his sex tape, the contents of which I can only imagine in terror, but it won't be about that either.

I've heard that he goes on a racial tirade within the sex tape. The sex tape the WWE could probably cope with, being racist... That's another matter.

The sex tape is easily found if you want to watch it and find out. I'm gonna give it a miss. The reason it is unlikely to be why he's persona non grata is that it has been in the public domain for a while now.

Isn't this a new sex tape? Or have I misread that?

*edit* Nope. It seems that it's the same one where he goes off on one where he thinks his daughter is sleeping with a black man.

I'm guessing that signed picture of Hulk Hogan that I have won't be worth much...

Ah, apparently the sex tape has been around for a while (it's been the subject of a long running lawsuit), but the original was edited, and now the racist bit has been released.

What a time to be alive.

I'm sure Hogan is thinking exactly the same....

Upstairs' intercom buzzer went a few times and then stopped. About 30 seconds later ours went, so I answered and the chap said that there was a delivery, so I let him in and opened the door.

As he came by, he said the delivery wasn't for me, but was for the flat upstairs. I said Ok and left him to it. Strangely, when he knocked on the door tot he flat upstairs, the neighbour opened it, so had been in all along. They exchanged a few words, and all was done.

Then my intercom went again. Same man, with more packages. I asked if they were for our flat? No, upstairs again, not answering again. Now, the intercom buzzer is loud and I can hear it ringing from their flat. I buzz him in, but as he comes by I see they are boxes of furniture type things and there is a large van outside, so probably more, so ask him to speak to the people upstairs or prop the door open downstairs as it is difficult for me to get up and down every two minutes. The man can see that I am heavily pregnant and kind of nods but doesn't say anything, then carries on upstairs.

About three minutes later they try the upstairs intercom again. No answer. So they ring mine again. I seriously can't be bothered with this so ignore it as it's difficult getting up and down. So now he has pressed it no fewer than 20 times. I've worked out how to make it silent (yay), but we have TWO intercoms (no, I don't know why) and has now started on the other one, which I don't think I can silence. So I am in the nursery with all the doors between me and it closed, and he keeps pressing it. And it's upsetting, and now I have left it too long to answer it and am worried.

It's still going. And I don't type fast. And I can hear the people upstairs talking and shouting at their kid, and can see the van of stuff out of the window

hehe where we live we need it ! we're busting some old fashioned sash windows that leak and rattle in the winter, so my onesies are amazing. I've got a Superman and Spongebob one too I look like a fat canary in the latter.

There isn't, it's just white. The guy kicked the downstairs door a few times then swore and picked up his mobile and made a call. One of the older chaps from the the block came outside to see what was going on, and the driver swore some more so he went back off. He's sitting in van now with the engine running.

The weirdest thing is the upstairs neighbours not letting him in. Why wouldn't they?

They can be at times. Their place is up for sale. Which is odd as they seem to be taking delivery of furniture. Who knows what they are doing.

That's a nice idea in theory, but a lot of people will use CC as just another box to put people's names in.

I use them as such:

To: I'm talking to you, idiot.
CC: Other people who I think might be interested in what an idiot you are being.
BCC: People I want to actively laugh about your stupidity with afterwards. Or someone I think might sack you.

Alternate use of BCC: People who are likely to reply with inane responses and are too stupid to reply just to me instead of to everyone.

Does the BCC stop them replying all? I assumed it did, but have been too nervous to trust any of my colleagues with it.

As far as a BCC recipient is concerned, it only went to them.

That's completely wrong. I guess it could only be wrong as far as Gmail is concerned, but I doubt it.

I just tried it, and the BCC address can see the To address, and reply-all replies to everyone involved.

I've called a couple of people out for BCCing either my manager or one of the directors in on an email when they are trying to cause trouble though I'm in the right.

If you're going to try that kind of thing, don't do it to the person that administers the email system and can see exactly who you've included.

You're right. I've got it backwards. The main recipient can't see if anyone has been BCC'ed

That's the same as Outlook's usage.

Oh, I should have specified that pretty much everyone I work with is an idiot, so I often put everyone in the BCC and nobody in to or cc.
