Sounds like you need one of these.

Rutlands or Amazon sell them.

Hell, anybody who has decent kitchen knives should have one, they're brilliant at keeping knives as sharp as when you bought them.

I'm off to see the last ever public display by the Vulcan Bomber today. The weather looks perfect for it at the moment, but I'm going to be very sad to see it grounded in a few weeks.

Remember folks: if a bear attacks, stuff your arm down his throat.

Grauniad:

Quote:
“I remembered an article that my grandmother gave me a long time ago that said large animals have bad gag reflexes,” he said. “So I shoved my right arm down his throat.”

The advice worked and the bear left.

Coming out with a score draw against an ursine opponent is pretty impressive. And he magnanimous for went his right to bear arms to do it.

Usually when I go to the dentist I get told to brush my teeth properly. This has been going on for over 30 years now. Today, I got a new one. As well as being recommended to floss, the dentist was concerned by the amount of tea and coffee I drink after realising I don't smoke. So, guess I should either cut-down, go to the hygienist, or buy whitening paste again.

Still, that's that over for another nine months or so.

Must say, I dread the visits to the hygienist (once or twice a year), but they do make a difference.

And I've never really got on with flossing, at all, but the hygienist recommended these things which, while not cheap, do an excellent job of getting rid of plaque, and cut down the grisly work/tutting the hygienist has to do.

Aye. My teeth always feel so clean afterwards that it feels like a shame to eat or drink anything afterwards.
