Apparently it's got shagging and boobs in it, according to the update I got from my chum at work today.

I then Googled the lass involved and she was a bit of alright. (Albeit, y'know, not real.)

Really enjoying this now. Was finding it tough following the main story missions so I've gone off the beaten track and gone exploring.

There's been some lovely scenery, especially when lit by sunrise / sunset.

Wasn't really interested in Witcher 3, but this kind of chatter has piqued my interest.

I got this free with my GTX970 graphics card in May of last year, and am still yet to get out of the starting room (where EVERY SINGLE PLAYER will spend a bit of time trying to see if it's possible to see some (pretend) woman nipples).*

I have diligently patched it over the months, currently at 1.12 - I really should get out of the starting room at some point.

* It isn't.

After a mere year of having this sat on my hard drive and dutifully patching it some twelve times or so, I have now actually started to play this game - and it's really good!

It's like a Bethesda action RPG style game, but not crap and uninvolving in the way that I seem to find all Bethesda RPG games.

It also has a modern graphics engine so it looks absolutely sublime, as opposed to a slightly tarted up XBox 360 game.

Also, boobs. And bums.

Oh yes and it has a card game in it, a bit like Hearthstone, as an entire game within the game. Which may or may not be a plus for you but apparently keeps some people playing the game long after they've actually finished the game, if that makes sense.

I've seen Witcher 3 in Steam sales recently for around the £25 mark, so maybe similar discounts are now available for it on console as well.

I'm only a few hours in so wouldn't like to offer any definitive verdict, but unlike with Bethesda games where the 'few hours in' mark is generally where I start to get bored and stop playing, I'm really looking forward to each session with Witcher 3. (Which has to be when Hearthly Jnr is upstairs due to all the violence and swearing and shagging and stuff.)

Also I'm naturally well disposed towards it as I got it for free with my graphics card.

Good stuff and well worth a look if the genre is something that appeals to you, although it is very much a genre piece so if all you like is Call of Duty you probably won't like this.

This had me up until 1:30am last night, and even then I only stopped 'cause I was really tired having been up since 6am and had to be up at a reasonable hour this morning.

Every time I got somewhere and did what I was there to do, there'd be another intriguing question mark on the map to go and investigate.

The combat is really juicy and satisfying too, in a way I've never felt with the Bethesda action RPGs (which always seemed very floaty and vague, particularly the melee), plus there are some great finishers that your character pulls off automatically when appropriate.

Also, the women all seem to have very nice bottoms.

I really like this so far. You appear to be a monster hunting man stalking your ex and play a collectable card game on the way. Only in the first village, but it is pretty fun to run about and do odd jobs. Comvat flows well, and the horse autopots if you want. Stray off the path, though, and BLAMMI! Monster time! The voice acting is hilarious, as a bonus.

Top game. Didn't bother with any of the DLC though which is supposed to add a HUGE chunk.

Gwent is probably one of the best in game games I've played.

This got sent to me as a "look at these insane Polish people!!LOL!!", however, turns out some of my insane Polish friends help run it ( one of them crops up for about a second in the background of a sword fighting section ).

When does this get good?

I've only played a couple of hours and perhaps am getting pulled out of the world by the fairly relentless stream of hand-holding tutorial bits on menu/crafting screens (WTF am I meant to be crafting at this point?!), but it's not really grabbed me yet.

I've done a bunch of side quests and I've just arrived at the Nieefdedgdfgsdxjkpghpkmdgdf guards in the north to ask them about that lassy I'm chasing and wandered into a gassy bog to find information about a griffin. Some Drowners attacked me and I died then I turned it off.

I'm only able to play 30 minutes at a time at the moment, I don't know if that's not helping. Or, hopefully, it's a shit opening few hours then gets really good after that.

I think I got to about the same place as you before I gave up.

I do intend to give it another shot at some point, but it just didn't grab me at all.

I never finished it, I totally maxed out the starting area and then travelled to the next main game area, looked at the sheer size of it and decided I couldn't be arsed, then played Hearthstone instead.

Replace Witcher 3 with 'any other game' and this happens a lot.

Also, I decided Geralt is a bit of a cock and I didn't much like him. And I couldn't shag the nice herbalist woman in the first area which annoyed me, as she had a fantastic bottom and I wanted to use her pertly cheeks as a pillow.
