Went to see them last night at Wembley Arena. Wasn't expecting much as I've also seen them on the Magic tour in 1986 when Freddie Mercury was alive

To be fair it was a good show, Adam Lambert can sign the songs, although he struggles with the base notes as times. Lights were brilliant.

Some self indulgence on stage, Brian May played a long guitar solo which had some really horrible noise in it at times, Rodger Taylor has one of his kids on a 2nd drum kit playing with the band and also insists on singing a Kind of Magic (rather badly last night)

Pricy though £70 a ticket, we where seated at the side so not really the best seats.

All in all nice to see them live again

Really wanted to go to that, but never got round to getting tickets.

I saw a really really good Queen tribute band with my dad in 2002, would've liked to have seen the real thing back when they were on their prime.

That's not particularly unusual for a Queen concert. Wembley '86 had an 8 minute guitar solo followed by a 6 minute drum solo.

Caught them in 1986 at Newcastle football ground, although they were probably the most musically tight live they had ever been on that tour I still think looking back they lost a bit of raw edge

For me they are at their best 1981-1983. Live at the Bowl and Rock Montreal are good videos to see this.

Freddie Mercury oddly managed to get through the 70's not smoking but took it up in the early 80's it had started to effect his voice a bit by 1986, he would sing a bit softer but have to shout the higher notes at the same time.

Still thought last night that nobody could do the songs as well as Freddie Mercury, but if he was still alive he would be almost 70 so not sure he would be going nuts on stage!

Adam Lambert carried off well, and they just played Queen stuff unlike the Paul Rodgers tour when they did Free stuff as well.

Very true but I've seen a lot of interview stuff with them both looking back on this shaking their heads at this so thought they might have stopped it now !

Well, it's not like he's done anything noteworthy worth playing.

He's fairly popular in the USA. Won the USA version of X-Factor, or something.

[edit]It was American Idol, and he came second.
