It is a, they won't get more pollen in the winter because stay they inside, and the need the important elements like protein.. They don't have new babies in the winter

It is C. The mites creep into open breed (when the bees are in larva-state), when the breed is closed, the mites have a nice little spt to lays eggs.. when the cell is opened, the bee and the newborn mites get out (often on top of the newborn bee..

The workers and the queen com from fertile eggs... but since they might have different fathers (the queen pairs with one average 12 drones during brides flights), the workers are both sisters and half sisters... the queen is there mother, and therefore genetically dfifferent... one of their (half)sisters might be the new queen though after the old one leaves to swarm...

If you do A, ity will swarm. bees do "social procreation" so that is there natural behaiour, the queen will leave with half of the beepeople to start a new colony... a new queen will be born in the old one..
As a beekeeper you want to avoid this, because 1. Your neighbours might think it is scary to see 10000 bees flying around and 2. You lose half of your bees.. so less honey etc...
If you see the first signs ( like a large grow in bees. and so call "play cells", start of swarms cells, you might give them saome extra space, or set up and extra layer on your hive (they are modular), so they can grow more.. If you see swarm cells you are too late
The only solution then (and a good idea often anyway), is to make a fake swarm by removing the queen and some bees, and let them grow into a 'nuc' , which you might use as 1. the basis of a new people. 2. a back up queen, if somewhere goes wrong, or 3. remerge later on in the season when the swarming is over

You've got pre-swarms, that is B, and swarms after that (A).. normally the first swarm to go is the one with the old queen, promted by the swarmcells which will provide new queens... (B) might happen leater on in the season.. .. Reconnainces bees go out individually, and come back to tell others, which on their turn tell it to more bees, but they won't go in swarms
