Currently potentially in the Greenwich area depending on people and times.

But, also potentially doing some early thing there and moving to Kings Cross.

And then Brixton, and Shepherd's Bush, and Liverpool Street.

I will update soonish. You're all in it around London anyway.

Though we still need someone to bring the actual game. Can you manage that, Mali?

Possibly. If the APoD family are coming then my family will also come, which would be much easier in SE London, at least for a bit. We could, however, just do that earlier in the day as a families thing before the serious board games and drinking.

I'm not sure that is how the postal service works.

EH? I buy it, and they send it to you. Then I don't have to bring it down on the train!

Oh, well, yes, that would work, but don't you already have it? Seems odd to buy it again to save carrying it!

Anyway, I am going to bed. Feel free to send it if you wish.

Kings X arguably works better for us as although further, it is a far more direct and hence quicker route, if the family curio is happy (Parcel Yard claims to be family friendly) and it would also make the day less fragmented for all.

I shall ask the wife. Greenwich has the added bonus of stuff for kids to do when they inevitably get bored of the pub. But I shall stop pretending I have any input in this whatsoever and ask Maria.

Kings X certainly works better for me, as I have to be there at 4pm for SPLINTER GROUP FUN.

The kids can go and look at the fountains.

Post subject:  Re: Ticket to Ride World Championships

There is literally no limit to the amount of cookies that we can put to good use.

I have conversed with the wife, and Kings Cross is go!

Questions:

1) What is the status of the board game? Has one been ordered? Is someone bringing one? Should I just buy one from the nearby Waterstone's?

2) What time should we meet to start things off in KC?

3) Shall I book a space at the Parcel Yard? For how many people?

Author:  MaliA [ Fri Jan 23, 2015 13:13 ]
Post subject:  Re: Ticket to Ride World Championships

1) buy one from wa testing and I will refund. Safer than MrsA cocking about with amazon.

2) no idea. I dunno what time hotel kicks us out. We're easy, really. Can do brunch before kc if you're in the hood

3) book for 10 people?

What's going on at Parcel Yard? I've missed that, somehow.

Post subject:  Re: Ticket to Ride World Championships

1 - Will do, or might keep it myself! Heh. Which is the best one? Europe? America? Any others?

2 - If you want to have brunch in Greenwich then there is an awesome cafe called the Plum Tree Cafe which is kid friendly to the extent that it has a fucking treehouse in it. Travel from Greenwich will be DLR to Bank and then Northern Line. No actual trains are running that day on the overground (on that line).

3 - Will give them a call

BONUS P(o)INT!

If you sign up on their website and have not done before, you get a free pint of beer!
