I've no idea what that game is but it has the worst name I've heard in quite a while.

It's an intentional throwback to fantasy tropes of old. Which I thought was pretty obvious.

I still wouldn't click on it with a title like that unless I was looking for it. There's too many of these bland generic titles littering the app stores/steam and the like.

Neither would I. Indeed, if you want to find stuff to play simply by browsing the app store listings you're probably a mentallist. It could also be easily argued that if you're literally going to judge stuff by it's title your going to have a bad time as well.

I odn't understand why anyone would hoard cheap mobile games? I finished playing the last Android game I had going (Adventures of Poco Eco as per the Finish 52 thread) so I bought this one to play next. Though Raby appears to be a bit shit so I might ditch it.

How do you choose which games to buy? Do you read a site or just go by the genre and reviews on Play?

A mixture of all those. Mostly from a few sites in my RSS list:

http://www.supergamedroid.com/feed/
http://www.theguardian.com/technology/android/rss
http://feeds.feedburner.com/PocketGamer ... onsandroid

But if I find a game I like or that looks good I'll also look at (a) the other stuff that developer's done and (b) whatever stuff Google Play recommends as similar. Obviously that still means quite a lot of shite but between the description, screenshots and user reviews it's pretty easy to cut obviously crap stuff out. Anything that looks half decent gets added to my wishlist and when I'm looking for a new game to play that's the list I browse through.

As that seems to be an existing but near-defunct website I assume I'm missing an in-joke here?

IOS (it shows up as an 'icade' compatible controller)
Android

I'm interested in that. The original post says it works with the Wii too... That's relevant to my interests as mine is nodded to play SNES games.

How much?!

Did it come with a fucking phone?

I'd imagine Gaywood could hand you one on Saturday, there were loads laying around at his office.

I may be completely wrong about that, though.

It's relatively a lot of money for a piece of cardboard though. Imagine someone had just spent £13 on a bowl of cereal in Shoreditch.

It's not just a piece of cardboard, the full kits come with lenses and the magnet button to justify the cost slightly. Mostly though it's the convenience of not having to dick around cutting bits of cardboard up from a template.

Ebay - there are quite a few from UK based sellers and some that will come from China - the price seems to be around the same (the one i bought came from the channel isles and arrived about 2 days after I bought it)

I have the SFC version (so the 'correct' UK colours on the pad) there are US ones with the purple colours and there are also ones shaped like a NES or Famicom pad (but with 4 buttons) and one which has dual analogue sticks

The build quality and 'presentation' (box and accessories) is very impressive

I really do like the sounds of this but I need to do a bit more research to make sure it works with the emulators on My Wii. Perhaps one of these companies does a money back guarantee?

If anyone else is looking and does not need one instantly - £36.47 at gamestop

https://www.gamestop.co.uk/ps4-accessories?

(only the black one is in stock right now)

Amazon also occasionally have some for a little less - £40 here (again black only)

Good shout, I'll keep that in mind for the future. Really I should've ordered one last week rather than waiting until the day I actually needed a replacement so it's my own fault. Though I was quite impressed at my own ingenuity on Monday night when I managed to work out how to watch a Bluray on the PS4 without having a working control pad.
