The bacon tail is on the left and the fatty bit is at the top, obviously.

You are all so confused

Seems there's no real industry standard for bacon presentation rotation.

I think the main bit on the left just about pips it.

I want some bacon now, so I have taken some out of the freezer to have with some macaroni cheese. Because mine is made by Quorn it has no shape.

Well, oblong.

Oblong Baconbong.

So lazy! It's cut from a duvet of press protein. They could make it any shape they want. Piggy shaped!

I guess it is supposed to be the shape of a streaky bacon rasher, but not streaky.

I'd be happy if they made it bread-shaped.

Also, Quorn Chorizo is awesome.

I rather agree with Mimi, the tail goes to the right.

But have you tried it? It's surprisingly good!

I'm willing to say that Quirn bacon is NOTHING like bacon. The chorizo (uncut) is amazing however,

I eat quite a lot of Quorn sausages and amuse myself be calling them faux-sages in my head. I only do this in my head as I can't imagine it would amuse anyone else.

You can turn them, you just won't see that it's turned until you refresh the page.

You can get some from the chiller aisle (oblong) and some from the frozen section (bacony shape)

No, I tried that, but it doesn't work. Maybe it is because I use Safari. Let me try with Chrome.

Oddly, though, in Safari it is still sideways, though it is now 'correct' in Chrome

It's the "Yes, I really do want to refresh, you bastard" button.
You can also put a question mark at the end of the URL to force a refresh.

Um - not if you want to get back to the same page (it would change the post ID).

It forces the browser to ignore any files it's got in it's local cache and just re-download all the page elements as if it was the first time it was going to that page. When you do a normal refresh I don't know how it decides what to re-download and what to just use from the last time (some kind of timestamp comparison I'm guessing?) but sometimes it can miss stuff that's been updated so a normal refresh won't show any changes but a shift+refresh will do.

Forking hell, man.

The latest 2 Broke Girls just blew my mind with their filth.

Mac is hanging decorations for a bridal shower for Sophie. She has, typically, brought black ribbons to hang on. Caroline comes in and demands to know why she hasn't been "hanging pink" - rather than black.

Max: "I told you I don't do girl things. Like hang pink or sit when I pee. Which, coincidentally, I refer to as hanging pink."

Filthy buggers.

I LOVE IT!

The bottom one is Moomin with a sashiko stitching design. I've been learning/practicing Sashiko (I was doing a small piece at the cottage last year. Now I'm making a huge blanket).

Can you not buy useful stuff at chemists, anymore? Recently, I have wanted 10 powdered dextrose, 1kg Calcium chloride, ipa and some magnesium sulphate. No one has it. A while back I needed some formaldehyde but that was a fool's errand, too.

No, you tend to have to turn to the Internet for anything like that. You can't even get Citric acid in a chemist's now (though oddly I've seen it in Wilkinsons, amongst the cleaning products).

Oh right. Yeah, that'll probably do it.

Passive-aggressive posts, blow by blow 15 minute updates of people's days, and casual racism are just some of the reasons I have many people from work on 'mute' (unfollowed?) on Facebook. The irony of the accompanying comment on this, however, made me chuckle.

Reminds me of when celebrity racist and ex-EDL leader Tommy Robinson tweeted that he was now a minority in Luton, despite the fact that the 2011 census showed Luton to be 87% white.
