Quite.

It was my first album. One of the many, many reasons I try to repress my youth.

We're having a bit of a reshuffle.

I'm moving desk to the corner. For the first time in five years nobody will be able to see my screen.

In our last reshuffle we went from a grim office with a great view of drunks beating the crap out of each other to a chilly room with a great view of the bike sheds.

I'm not in the best of moods, either. I think I'm too tired to do anything as well or as interestingly as I want.

The most I have managed today involved sending a humorously worded meeting request.

Went to a UK Five Guys just off the Strand on Saturday. The burger and fries were just as good as I've had in the colonies, but as we discussed a few weeks ago it was expensive for what it was.

The hot dogs are the thing to get at 5 guys, cheaper and better than the burgers.

You haven't answered the main question though, which drink did you get from the magic machine?

Holy shit, I wonder how much they are? I've totally got room for one in the new house.

Coke Zero. I know how to live. And yes, for a drinks dispenser they are splendidly over-engineered. Would need one at home that does beers, lagers, and wines too.

I went to 5 Guys a week or two back and really liked it. The burger and fries were better than most, plus the magic drinks machine is magic. I only filled my glass a little up so I could try about six different drinks.

So on the hour and a lot trip home from London I’ve been listening to music about Norse mythology while reading A Profound Mind by HH the Dalai Lama, and I consider myself a Christian.

It’s been an odd night.

We’ve got one of them in Pizza Hut too. Is that what they’re talking about? That’s less exciting than I’d hoped.

Mr Windsor is entitled to lobby and petition government for redress of grievance as much as any other citizen. If he seeks a job in government in the future, however, he might need to learn to keep silent in case his position becomes untenable.

BE VIGILANT, CITIZENS

Police around here could protect kids more by enforcing seat belt laws rather than harass dog walkers.

They had them on the cruise ship I honeymooned on. When you paid for the drinks package you got a 'souvenier' cup which had a tag on the bottom so as when you put it in one of these machines it recognised your package and poured.

Today I got a DivMMC for my Speccy+, and it was working perfectly.

Then, while messing about, in a moment of incredibly stupid carelessness I had a brainfart and attempted to plug it in while the power was still on. I have read a thousand times that this is the one thing you should NEVER do with a Spectrum.

I just fried my 30 year old Spectrum+. I cannot even begin to explain how gutted I am and how appalled with myself.

Anyone know if this is fixable? Which part is it that gets toasted? I tried swapping the ULA with a 48k (which unfortunately does not seem to work with the DivMMC), but that wasn't the problem. Everything else seems to be soldered in.
