This explains the really weird variations in traffic of late as I drive home.

Many of my friends' families used to make an Indian tea drink out of a big pan of boiling water, tea leave (or tea bags) sugar, pepper, cinnamon, cloves, and two other spices (I am sure there were usually five - maybe ginger, cardomom, perhaps?). Is this a similar drink to that?

If you live or travel nearby a mosque then it could well be that.

With the clocks going back this weekend see if the traffic is significantly lighter next week, perhaps.
