Amazon Lightning deals are a bugger for getting you to buy stuff you don't need. So far this week I've bought a kayak and a slackline kit. Looking at an ultra bright camping lantern.

Hmmm...

They aren't.

Last time Kate and her mother did the 5k, me, her step dad and her brother sat in the sun near the finish line and ate sausage rolls, which was nice.

Oh, I think that's a bit of a shame. I wondered if this was because it was aimed at people supporting research into breast cancer specifically (though breast cancer can affect men, too, so that would still seemed a shame, and then think of all the millions of men affected by breast cancer through their wives/mothers/daughters etc) but it seems to be in support of research into over 200 types of cancer.

I'm not sure I understand the specification of it being for women only from the quick glimpse I had, but then it does seem to have a heck of a lot of support. i wonder if they'd have the participation numbers if it was open to men?

Come on, mark. EVERYONE needs a kayak, and (ideally) a spare kayak. It's only if you have 4+ kayaks that you start to not be in requirement of a further kayak.

That seems to be the justification behind it, participation is supposedly higher due to it being a women only event.
I'm not convinced that's the case, but it's impossible to prove either way.

I have to allow myself about three-four times as long to walk anywhere around the building at work now because of the number of tummy rubs I have to collect on the way.

This is awesome.

I want my tummy rubbed by random people forever.

Now masala chai is where it is at. Best made properly in a big tub with condensed milk, but Twinings version is very good too.

Many of my friends' families used to make an Indian tea drink out of a big pan of boiling water, tea leave (or tea bags) sugar, pepper, cinnamon, cloves, and two other spices (I am sure there were usually five - maybe ginger, cardomom, perhaps?). Is this a similar drink to that?

If you live or travel nearby a mosque then it could well be that.

With the clocks going back this weekend see if the traffic is significantly lighter next week, perhaps.

That's a gorgeous drink. I re,ember making some for friends at uni, but I had to take a bit of a guess at the spices. I think it was called something else by the families of my friends but shall Google what you called it to see if I can find a recipe.

One of my knitting friends on Twitter has just said she's off to a dinosaur park today and I've had to give her the same piece of advice.

I then spent 20 mins googling Dinosaur Parks and am now planning trips to Milton Keynes and Devon & Cornwall.

University cashpoints have them still, and there's a random cash machine that gives out shiny crisp £5 notes in town. I can never remember which it is, but if I chance upon it I usually go back and withdraw some more because they are awesome.
