I was somewhere - maybe some steam engine rally - where a stall was selling something similar, but it was something that helped keep you healthy, and cured everything, apparently.
I know this because the nice man selling them shouted this (pretty much in our faces) as we walked past. Mrs Grim... (or Miss Grim..., as she was back then), asked how it could cure everything, and the nice man said that the combination of magnets and silver (or something) encouraged the body to heal itself, and it really worked or you could get your money back. Miss Grim... asked him if it could cure her Cystic Fibrosis, to which the nice man bellowed "absolutely". Miss Grim... was sensible enough to get between me and the nice man, although I think he figured out my intentions as he very quickly admitted that they didn't do shit and he'd never known them to work for anything.
