Help plea on UGVM

I know there's a few of the BETEO regulars here - my account seems to be locked out since I tried to change the email address I use. Is there any chance someone can post on there for me and ask Grim... to have a look please.

I've just had a look and indeed, he's inactive. Can you get a message to him? I can change his email address and password if he likes?

He couldn't just have registered another temporary account and asked for help directly himself? I can't help thinking that would've been a lot easier, and allowed him to PM Grim direct, but whatever works.

Never mind. I've reactivated his account and changed his password. I'll PM gospvg with it in a moment.

Yeah, when account activations are turned on (necessary because of spammers), if you change your email address the account needs to be reactivated. And the forum doesn't seem to email us about it half the time for some reason.

Thanks I'll let Zoid know.

Thanks, I'm back in.

For some reason I'd stopped getting notification emails, so tried to change my email address in case that was behind it all and then got disabled. I was going to set up a second temporary account, but I'd have had to have used the email address that wasn't receiving emails from BEEX which wasn't going to work either, so figured asking in the newsgroup would be the quickest way to let someone know.

Or registered a new throwaway email address from Hotmail/Yahoo/Gmail in about two minutes. Sorry, I'm just picking this apart because I'm bored.

Or used my work email address, and then had to explain to the IT manager (me) what BEEX was....

Damm, my plan of using your ID to spam the forum with Sonic the Hedgehog posts failed.

?

Setting up a new account would have the same problem as changing an existing one.

And who doesn't use Ten Minute Mail for temporary emails? People doing it wrong, that's who.

Fortunately there's no SLA on internal issues or I'd be in trouble.
