It's efficiency. Y'all are flailing your hands around all over the place, and I just need to move my fingertips.

Ladies.

Same, and I use a mouse. The heel of my hand stays where it is and only my fingertips move slightly.

Enjoy your RSI.

Surely I'd get RSI if I moved my hand around more?

I'm only going by experience - high sensitivity mice where all you move is fingers ot wrists = high tension and pain. Low sensitivity mice that force you to move your entire arm = Easier movement with a larger target and no pain.

Logitech are good, but I'd only go wireless if you have a really good reason to.

To carry round in my laptop bag, I think keep wrapping my cable has killed my mouse.

Just remember to always have some spare batteries with you. :)

Get one with a wifi dongle thingy and not a bluetooth one. The battery will last for over a year of daily use.

My laptop has built in bluetooth as my old logitech MX5000 keyboard connects directly, which is cool.

Yes, but a bluetooth mouse will need new batteries every month or so...
