It was alright, however the first half was him chatting through an article in his book, so if you have already read it there was nothing new, no matter how well he told it. The second half was supposed to be a conversation between him and the host, but they just opened it up to questions from the crowd, and none of them were that interesting, or required too much thought to be able to answer well in a short space of time.

It would have been much better if the conversation with the host was longer and the questions scripted beforehand.

Not unsurprisingly he is obviously out of his comfort zone public speaking, so it was a little difficult to engage at times.

I'm glad I went as it was interesting and funny, but it could have been much better with a few simple changes.

Interesting; this afternoon (and last night) he told us all about when he turned his apartment into a massive ball pit. Also he didn't seem bad at public speaking to me, but the poor chap is probably exhausted.

It was the collecting of the elements in the periodic table story tonight.

He's not bad at public speaking, just uncomfortable doing it. I can recognise the mechanisms he uses when talking, to deal with the fear, as I used to do them all too :D
Public speaking got a lot easier for me when I stopped giving a shit ;)
