it seems to be that you have to think as a team, and forget about tradional man-on-man defending of pre-wiievo football games, read this thread for some tips at the wos forum

it's 1 april, we can post links

I'll make a full review of this, when i played it some more, but..

+ normal pes/fifa was real in the sense that it looked like on the TV, this looks like if your in the stadium, and feels like it too, the feeling you get when you see a player standing unmarked and you wanmt to shout, "pass to him"well, now you can do that.
+ the feeling this results in of getitng the game, and really playing as a football team, is incredible, passing into free space (something i always missed and ai never understood), getitng ronaldinho there, selecting a course for him to run and passing on the head of Eto.. lovely
+ i like that the audio commentary is rather sparse, because i like hearing who has the ball but not some stupid football anectdote for the umpteenth time when it's not relevant at all, and it allows for more languages on the disc, so i can play roma-lazio with italian commentary, and barca-madrid with spanish
+ the graphic styles has more character than the slick fifa 08 xbox version at least
+ i like how the big heads are used for showing you team selection, even with little bodies so you can see how small sneijder is

- but sometimes you see through the mouth of players which is really ugly, and the audience is ugly as well
- after three games my right arm hurt
- i can't find mii mode
- the easiest teams in the championship road are the dutch teams

how can i make high long-passes? Each time i try to change side, the player passes the ball near the ground.

I also don't understand why they've put player names and stamina bars on the players instead of the lower part of the screen where in belong. It makes the games more cluttered

Tried to play this with Myoptikakaka when we were both rather wasted over the weekend. The result was that we both were largely clueless as to what the hell we were supposed to be doing, but despite that we managed (I think) a 2-2 draw, before a winner was scored in extra time... so even two spangled spazzes can score.

Didn't really get the hang of it at the time, but I still intend to buy it at some point.

i still have to take note of my wii number

I'm not very convinced about the game. The most annoying issue is the flick the nunchuck to shoot. Why haven't they assigned that function to Z or C and leave the power bar of previous iterations. This feels much more about luck

the game has already clicked on me. But i still think defense leaves a lot to be desired. My players just aren't agressive enough. It's not the first time the opponent scores a goal just by going straight, while my defenders fag out of the way.
