Oh boohoo stuck in the Championship for seven years. Try being in the bottom two divisions for 27 of my 34 years alive.

I'm not convinced you get sympathy for being dumb enough to support losers.

The pain is finally over (until next season)

Good luck in the play offs, Malia!

Good result for Middlesbrough.

I have concerns over the play offs.

I'll be cheering on Brighton. They're also a club who's been through hard times with not having a ground for so many years. Would also be great to have another south coast derby!

2-0 up after the first leg.

I cannot help but feel that the play off system is wrong. Brighton finished third on a 2 goal difference a substantial way away from 4th (and 15 points away from Wednesday).

Right. Just got to not lose by more than a goal. Or something.

The play off system is a superb piece of sporting theatre, enabling a team who finished 15 points adrift of the third place team to be one game away from promotion.

I feel the same way about the 'Finals' system used over here. Although on one hand (and I think i might have mentioned this) it does mean that a team have to actually go out and win 'it' in the last match, rather than runaway leaders resulting in the last few matches being essentially worthless and coasting after securing their league place. But it does seem a bit rough on the team that finish many points in front and still miss out. As you say, 15 points is a significant gap, the team 15 points in front have played better over the season.

Dunno, drama over 'fairness'/consistency. What do I know though, I love the tension of penalty shootouts

You didn't want to be two divisions above United anyway.

Left the pub after Huddersfield equalised because it's been a tense enough week already.
