You should email them now and have lunch.

Email them now to invite them to lunch, then email them to cancel.

Problem solved.

Amusingly, I have just done this. Message was stuck in my phone's outbox from last night. Minute I got a wi-fi connection, off it went. Oops.

Mrs T and I signed up to it last week and got the first box through today, I shall report back.
If you like the look of it and want to give it a go, if you use my code "ZJAV7L" you get £20 off the first box and I get £12 off my next box :)

2nd week of this now, still very impressed. Last week was lovely, this week not quite so lovely so far, but mainly as one of the dishes was prawn based, and i'm not a fan.
I make a right mess of the kitchen when i'm cooking though, good job we got a new dishwasher!

You can swap some recipes if you are on the 3 meal deal, but other than, just try not to die too much.

People on this train seem to have an air og "going on holiday" about them. I have the sniffles. Seems to average out the mood nicely. Still, Birmingham is not far away and I like seeing the people there.

I'm working from home this morning which, roughly translated means that I'm going to be playing Gone Home.

I've heard that it's only a couple of hours long so hopefully I should see it off before I go into the office this afternoon.

How many times did you go through TSP? (It has about a thousand endings). I've only played the demo, and I think even that had multiple endings. Once was enough though.

I played for about 90 minutes and did the loop a fair number of times. I know I missed a few endings.

Can I develop asthma at the age of 28? My chest feels really tight, and has done for the past two days.

If I could develop hayfever in my mid 30s, yep.
Oddly it got progressively worse then seems to have gone again.

Yes. I fail to see how this is relevant to you, though. Are you asking for a friend?

Haven't a clue, really. She was definitely doing all the talking bits, and seemed to be playing the instruments, and she can sing live, so I don't see why she wouldn't, but you never know.

She was awesome anyway. Playing Bon Jovi with Richie Sambora was ace best.

Not quite as awesome as spitroasting the lead singer of Pretty Reckless with Richie Sambora and accidentally jizzing on him.

Just received a CV at work from a school leaver who says they "achieved" a grade U in GCSE science.

Yet on the same CV, they say they completed a work placement in October 2014.

How can you invent time travel and get a grade U at GCSE science?! Boggles the mind.

Maybe they borrowed the time machine from the guy that applied for a job here that was born in 19824.

Saw a house today, it's not the perfect house but it is pretty close, and the deal they are doing on it is good so we could probably move without needing to save any more, depending on the equity in the flat.
However, we don't actually "need" the extra space, as nice as it would be, and it does have a couple of compromises in the house. The main issue is that it will double our mortgage, and almost certainly mean no Vegas trips for a while!

Decisions, decisions...

I heard this on the wireless this morning, but it's amused me so sharing it here. In the Commons yesterday, the Speaker slapped down an MP in his usual style:

Quote:
Mr Speaker: Order. Mr Ellis, calm yourself, man. Only this morning a teacher said to me in Speaker’s house: “How can I tell a little boy in my class to behave when parliamentarians don’t?” Be a good boy; get the message.

(Somewhere here. I read Hansard for fun).

EDIT Heh, and I've just seen this, further down:

Quote:
Mr Speaker: Order. The role of the Prime Minister’s Parliamentary Private Secretary is to fetch and carry notes and to nod and shake his head in the right places. Mr Williamson, be quiet and if you cannot be quiet, get out, man!
