Seriously? WTF? Jorge Lucas (Can't use his name, will have to pay him) "owns" the word droid. Wow.

Quote:
What do George Lucas and the new Droid have in common? More than you'd think! I'm stoked to get my hands on the new device being offered up by Motorola to see if it really can top my iPhone, but when I got an invite to the San Francisco launch party I noticed something interesting at the bottom: the word "droid" is licensed to Lucasfilm LTD, which means Motorola pays a fee to the Star Wars icon to use his trademarked term.

Likewise. Minus the course in Manchester. :(

I've come FROM Manchester to Stevenage to run a course........... again. And I'll be doing it again the week after next. Next week is Crewe. I can hardly contain myself.

And I'm staying in the Ibis, which I usually do, although I had to stay in an independent hotel in a Lone Ranger themed room a couple of weeks ago. :blown:

I've got a craving to play fallout. But an xbox/ps4 costs a little under 400quid here.
Denstiny does look good though and it has been over 2 years since I had a console... it's tempting.

Don't want to put this in the 'Nay' thread, but don't want to deprive my fans of the latest tedious teenage bullshit news.

Remember my ('hilarious misunderstanding' - Ed.) with a friend? A mutual friend who knows the two of us well and who we have both been talking with over the past few months passed on to me today the news that that ('person') wishes me well, wants me to be happy, thinks I'm good person etc etc, but will continue to block me on sinister Facebook, ditch emails, and not get back into contact as he is afraid of how I might respond.

Initially I felt angry, but now I just find this behaviour extremely pathetic. Wish I'd slept with his girlfriend now though as that would have been a better reason for the ('amusements') than 'I gave career advice he misunderstood and took offence at'.

Day by day, I feel better, although it hasn't been as smooth a journey as I thought.

Thanks. Feel cleansed.

Played: Mortal Kombat X- very nice.

Waiting for The Evil Within. On PS4. Queues ain't bad. 18 minutes of gameplay apparently.

Hmm... I wonder if I can get down to That London on Sunday and give E:D a go on the Oculus Rift, seeing as how they haven't bloody sent me mine yet.

There's a fair few rifts here today. And a big queue to match.

The Evil Within: seemed like classic Resi 4. I've got good hopes for this one.

Gonna rock up to Alien: Isolation next...

Dude, if you're not able to, but can get down one weekday, get in touch. I've hidden E:D on one of our Oculus demo stations so I can play it if I fancy staying late one night. If we still have the demo stations running, you're welcome to visit me in the office one night and have a go.

Other games I played today at EGX:

Dead Light (XB1): Dead Island with parkour. Not very interesting. Not very good.

Battlefield: Hardline (PS4): Battlefield 4 with new game modes. We played one where cops and robbers compete to control designated vehicles (cars, trucks and motorbikes). It was pretty fun. You press R3 in a car and you hang out the window and shoot. That's about as new as it got...

Hotline Miami 2 (PS4): It's Hotline Miami! 2! On PS4! Fuckers didn't turn the music up enough, so half the fun was lost. Still bloody, still gory, still rapid fire fun.

Far Cry 4 (PS4): it's Far Cry 3! Again! Not terribly exciting to be honest.

Sunset Overdrive (XB1): weird, hoard style, co-operative multiplayer third person shooter. I wasn't too fuss with it. Looked colourful; which is as much praise I can give it.

Tomorrow I'll get on Bayonnetta 2! It's apparently got 10/10 in EDGE. And Bloodborne's here. I'll be on that, fo sho. And new CoD.

Oh, saw Yoshi's Wooly Wanker quest. It looked terribly dull. Oh, so dull.

Cheers, if I can ever get a fucking day off during the week I'll see what I can do. I hope it won't be too long before they ship mine out to me anyway - it's been about eight weeks since ordering now and that's apparently the lead time.

I use a few, they all tend to have good offers for new customers. I've had good and not so good prints from various ones. Not online but some of the best I've had were actually from the local Asda.

Photobox for me all the way. Their colours are true and natural, great paper - I especially favour the matte finish prints.

I tried snapfish once and all the skin tones came out with a greenish hue. It may have been a bad batch, but put me off ever going back.

Woke up again being all hot and sticky with aching joints. Ate some ibuprofen and came into work. Having car heaters on full for journey did not help.

Brightside: in laws are mowing my lawns.

I am in Germany again, decided it was a bright idea to leave a pouch containing all my usb charging cables, head phones and head sets in the departure gate. I get them back on thursday.

Nee to see if the hotel has a spare usb cable for my phone.

My computer can't seem to connect to my wireless router at all, despite everything being hooked up properly and the correct network key being used, etc. My 360 (which is close to the PC) has no problems connecting to the internet. Does anyone have any suggestions? Googling for answers has mostly thrown up recommendations of buying a simultaneous dual-band router, in case there is any interference, but I can't tell if this necessary.

Thanks!

Ed: it's just connected and made a liar outta me, but it's been very patchy - I've had no internet at home for a few days...

Ed ed: it's still really slow, like.

Disconnect and turn everything else off, then power up just the router and your pooter?

I've got to Skype that production company this evening for my role in that TV programme I was on about.

It'll be the first time I've used Skype properly and not just with testing it with my wife in the next room. How exciting... I'm bound to mess it up.
